Gathering Test of Time owners for an MP!!
Yep, U read that right.
We are sick & tired of not getting any play time on our investment in the final version of the Classic!
We are NOT going to stand by & let our T of T's collect dust & spill stains anymore. It's too good to waste!
There must be enuf of us that have invested in these latest & greatest version of the classic to get up a decent Multi-Player contest.
Nothing fancy w/ the new scenerios.
Just a good ol' Civ classic MP but with many of the problems & cheats programmed out. Plus alot of new, but not radical enhancements.
Post your prefences here including times available (& time zone).
I'll play almost any setting just to get some use out of the CD. But prefer the usual amoung this crowd...
deity
1x1x
all normal / standard rules & random/default map perhaps no city bribe
raging
Evenings to late night Pacific (GMT+8) time = best for me.
Ought to be fun such to PLAY IT with some of U!

I'll be in this if I can schedule it!
hydey, you too?
And Luk I believe has it?
settings are fine.
The tests that hydey and I did a while back show the AI turns to be very long so I suggest we play no AI's.

You say TOT is less buggy? Any specifics?
I have it and am interested playing it, but not in existing games.
So maybe for the next Pluel it might be a good go if maps are interchangeable with it, and the others also have it. Any of you have TOT?

Well-l-l, Alrighty-y-y then!!
We got some action / interest. Most K, that a few of U have done it & it works. I personally have only played a few turns twice months ago just to see if it worked.
What is the latest & greatest verision / upgrade & where to get... www.microprose.com i assume?
My good times are weekdays 1800 thru early the following morning PacificST (GMT-8).
Perhaps some on weekends, "Pluel" game has priority but anxious to play anything from duel to 5(prefered}.
Let's do! Post times & preferred settings.

This is peak lawnmower season, the lawnmower man works from 7 am to 7pm Fridays at this time of year.
Best times for me are Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Sunday nights from 8:30 onwards (Melbourne times) GMT + 10 I think

Damn! If the world was only flat... so we could ALL be on the same time.
Looks like, unfortunately, the best we can hope for is some of the European players along with perhaps some east US players could put something together.
While us west US + some Aussies could do a game?
As i'v said, i'll get up real early or be up late to try to plug in with U Auz guys. Post some times good for U "down under".
Feel free to post & use this thread as a central contact / clearinghouse for gettinga few together.
ANYTHING is better than PLAYING WITH OURSELF's forever.
Throw out some firm times & see if we can't get some paly in.

Don't take it personally Hey, the Big D insulted us ALL equally!
Well, let's try to use some elementary math here(or perhaps it's advanced to U Auzzies):
Pacific time here = GMT-8
Eastern Aust time = GMT+8 (?)
so noon GMT = 0400 here & 2000 there, the same day.
Well i'll be dawged, the old man is right... U R dumb Hey.
Excellent! U R just the kind of opponent we're looking for. Unfortunately, 0530 has been & gone while i'v been typing this & no one is up here to do the game! ):
Oh well, maybe it goes to show that those of us that DID buy T of T really WERE stupid to do so.

Think i'v got a way for us here on west coast of N.America to figure...
Eastern Australia time = 16 hours ahead of us. But right now it's 17 because we'v already dropped back to non-daylite savings time & U R on daylight savings/summer time.
All of which means... your weekend is over as i write this (0600 Pacific coast time).
As for Europe central. It's mid-afternoon Sunday right now (1500 by my calc's).
As for Apolyton (Eastern N.Amer time), this should show a posting time of 0900 Sunday.
All of which means, if i willing to get up in very early hours of morning, Aussies can be playing in their evening, & central Europeans will have to play between breakfast & lunch. No wonder we can't get it together.
