Yep...
I never played the second game, but the first one got very boring... I never got far into the game before deciding to uninstall it... I even gave it two tries...

I have one of those on my computer, but I have yet to try it out.... gaming takes so much of a person's time it's unbelievable!

I tried 1602AD, but it was far too hard for me
I might give it a whirl again some time later, when I have more time

Civ3
Although I do have a tendency to not play the really bad games, or at least ruthlessly suppress any memory of playing them. But no, playing Civ3 just made me bored and disappointed. Not sure if it's the worst I ever played, but definitely the most dissapointing.
Transport Tycoon Deluxe was excellent, I played it a few months ago and it still kicked ass. I have something of intersection building obsession, the crown jewel of intersections I built was a 4 lane 4 way any-any straight-through (not roundabout) intersection that worked with the dumbass train AI, tunnels and raised land everywhere. It took up about 4 normal screens. It could handle quite some train traffic. I had modified the game so the industries produced 10x as much, thus justifying 4 lane railway tracks everywhere (actually I used 6 lanes going to the entrances to some larger industry complexes). Mostly I didn't bother with the economic side of things and just tried to build networks that could handle ridiculous levels of production.

I tried outpost once... well... I didn't 'try' the actual game, but I tried to start the game, but it popped up with some error msg... deleted it 2 secs later, never bothered with it since...

Pax was a good game, I still have it, It did have a ton of micromanaging and the AI was weak. Lots of tech.

I'm pretty careful with what I buy, so I've never bought a truely bad game.
That said, I'd nominate Simcity 3000 as the least good empire-building game I've plaed. While not a bad game, it disappointed me due to it's useless in-game advisors and various problems with the city growth model which acted to cripple city growth at certain city sizes and population structures for no good reason.
EU-2 was also underwealming. While fun, it's interface was painful to deal with - everytime war broke out I got buried in pop-up messages, even when I turned these down to the minimum necessary.

I actualy finished two games with it, but could not face another one. It is not the worst, but was a disappointment. It did have a cool combat, but you really only watched it.
Sort of like Deadlock2, not good nor awful.
Deadlock I was awful, but not the worst.

What made BotF bad for me was the conversion of the other races with diplomacy. Just made the game way too easy.
MoO3 is the worst game ever. Post patch/pre patch, doesn't matter. It is just terrible.
Rebellion was also very bad.
Ascendancy was not too bad, very nice interface and good graphics for the time, but 4X space games with warp points are really stupid. Chokepoints in space...give me a break.

Yeah, BotF atleast had some potential. Where as a game like MOO3 really has no redeaming features at all.

Moo3 takes the crow as the worst piece of thrash to pollute anybody's hard drive ever. I'd be happy install a boatload of spyware on my computer before I even consider touching Moo3.
You can't really compare it to anything else out there; there are bad games, terrible games, BC3k and then, all in it's very own lowest circle in the TBS abyss, there's Moo3. If they tried to fill land dumps with unsold Moo3 copies they'd have to drill the stuff down into the core to prevent the toxic waste from utterly wrecking the Earth's environment, that how bad it is.

While I felt I got ripped with Moo3 I at least play a few games and got a little someting out of it. Outpost did not give me anything. So while M003 was a bigger rip off, outpost was a worse game. Yeah I know Moomin that is hard to believe.
Now all this talk has me thinking about firing up Ascendancy/Pax or maybe just a good ole Moo1 game. I need a Civ break anyway.

I'm sorry, but I don't agree with all the negativity about MOO3. It has a steep learning curve and requires some patience. I'm currently playing a game with a small universe - a cluster, not an arm - aganst 3 other races. I thought I'd start off relatively small to get the hang of it. Anyway, maybe I'll get disappointed down the track, but for now I like it.

I hope you enjoy Moo3, a few people claim to like Outpost, not sure I believe them though. It won CGW coaster of the year way back then and still gets mentioned as a worst of.

Of course, I also like the Deadlock games. When the original Deadlock demo first came out, I was mad about it, trying to see how much I could do within the limited 40 turns and held more breath for months until the game proper arrived. The sequel ironed out some of the limitations of the original, made the tech tree better etc - my main disappointment was the ugly graphics - I wish they'd stuck to the cutesy ones of the first version.

Call to Power was just real....clunky. Some good ideas, but a lousy user interface and complete lack of flow to the game. Didn't have that Sid magic.

CTP was not my cup of tea, but come on it was not in the running for the worse game. You could at least finish it, many games where not even playable.
