Other games like CIvII/SMAC/SMAX
I'm looking for reco's on other games liked by players of Civ2, SMAC and SMAX. I did not like CTP, by the way. I fairly much enjoyed Warcraft/WCII, but the turn based/exploration/discovery motif really lights my tree. I did love Warlords as well.
Comments? What's cool?

Try Imperialism 2. The graphics are quite pathetic but it's a great game.

If you have the operating system O/S 2, there is a game that is pretty good. It is called Galactic Civilizations II. It is made by Stardock Systems. They might be still in the process of porting the game to Win 98

You may try "Master of Orion II". It's somewhat different to Civ/SMAC, but take a look (it's old and "low budget" now)
