1602 ad

I saw this game -- I think "1602 AD" is the right name -- in a store last week, described as the best selling PC game in Europe. It seemed to have Civ-like elements, judging only by the description on the box.

Is anyone familiar with it? How does it compare to Civ 2?

i have the european version(pirate)(ANNO 1602)
, i haven't played it much but i think its a OK game, not a very good one, but OK.
