I played the game before. The novelty worn out quickly and the game got boring. I have never bothered to pick up the expansion Deeper Dungeons or the sequel.

Spam is running high here. I'm going to start off non-spamming by listing useful stuff for Dungeon Keeper.

- Its helpful to "grab" a bunch of useful monsters from the monster summary screen and dump them near any battle.

- Get tons of imps around any gems after you have mined all the gold you can.

- The more gold, the better, gold is the lifeblood of your dungeon.

- Keep the main lair all around your base for defense reasons.

- Train your imps, its worth the money
- Don't go after the gem until you run out of gold to mine
- Use lairs to guard water and lava entrances
- Dragons are cool. Train your demon spawns to get dragons

Lairs are the places where the monsters sleep. Y'know the ones with all the monster habitats?

ah yes, I see

I used to train the Bilde Demons as well, as they always go to the Workshop although they're very good fighters and therefor should go to the Training Room as all my Dragons, Hellhounds and Warlocks

I use them to block up the tunnels. They can sit there for a while while I round up more "fighter-types" i.e. converted powerful heroes, wizards, skeletons, etc.

does anyone of you ever "use" the Horned Reaper? he's strong but a bit naughty and surely an annoying fellow, especially when you'er running out of gold...

You gotta love the horny guy, you can give him some gold and then put him into a temple (not into the pool ) so that he keeps happy. Give him the basic training so that he can then later get the experience from fighting. Then, well, try to guess what happens when he really gets into fighting... Oh, and of course, remember to drop chickens on battlefields as battles ensue; They either distract enemies from your minions or your minions eat them and gain energy.

And also remember that you must love Mistresses, especially when controlling them yourself.

Last thought: Ghosts look weird when speed spell is cast on them and they are slapped. Ghosts are just fun to look at anyway.

I usually just have trolls in the workshop. I don't usually need that many traps and doors. You should always have some warlocks and dragons in a library (which must be kept away from the main corridors) so they research spells for you. Also, consider raising a vampire or two. They are useful.

The problem with Vampires is: they always get into fights with the Warlocks... very annoying!

and it's not that easy to segregate them efficiently

so, what does the Horned Reaper do when he gets angry in a fight?! Would you please explain your subtle statement, LightEning?

I don't know. Perhaps it was just a subtle statement with a random meaning.

Easy. Build a prison. Drop vampires in them cages. Feed them chickens regularly, and drop captured critters in there as fodder.
