Monotheism
IMNSHO is the most useful tech in small map multiplayer duels, 1. because it lets you build crusaders, which are the most powerful fast moving unit in the early game, 2. miches, quite possibly the best wonder in the game. I was wondering if anyone else sees this tech as a vital tool for attacking in the early game. Combined with pikemen, catapults and diplomats, one can obliterate nearly anything that comes your way early in the game. So I was just wondering how fast someone is able to get to monotheism. So far I've got it down to 2150 BC, but with a better start and some better hut luck I'm sure I can push that time down a couple of turns.

Bach's is usually better if you plan on celebrating early. But for monarchy-commnunism, mike's works better.

I'm gonna start using legions just to keep up the traditions of the romans... although I'll put a nice spin on it so I would actually stand a chance

Hannibal only used elephants so they'd be able to find their way back home after the battle.

I haven't seen any elephants yet, a few dips and cats and those silly pikemen, but thats it. I on the other hand am roaming the lands with hordes of crusaders. Oh and Caesar, do some of your own tech research, you little thief.
