Kcbob, when 2 pieces can come to the same square, you indicate one of the original coordinates with the algebraic notation. I hope I got you right when assuming you moved the rook from a1 to d1.

Julius, hmm, its not an easy choice, Qxg2+ is tempting, and I love Nimzowitch. I use my phone call joker.

In the Swedish version of the show you don't need voting gadget malfunctions... The host, Bengt Magnusson, attacked the audience in the media the other week... Supposedly, they seem to vote for the wrong answers all the time, misleading the guy asking for help...

Kcbob, too bad you misplaced this pawn in d5 when it was in d6. After 9 e5, black had a big advantage but you could manage to grab some pawns with 10 Bg5 or 10 Nb5. After 10 dxe5, it was all over, 14 Nh4 losing very quickly. I like your metaphor of the tunnel ! If I calculated correctly you end up at least a rook down.
