Can you say a bit more about what the game involves. Does management mean it is completely different from such game simulations as FIFA2000?

I've got CM 99/00, but i'm not doing well in it. 
i nearly always tie, even with good teams, and if i take a more attackive formation i lose.
i was very good in cm2 and CM97/98, i don't know what to do...

I've played the demo, and I'm addicted... but I can't buy it in the US (unless by mailing it over here - I think I can get my cousin to do that for me). I think I'll wait until the CM 00/01 comes out.

The only computer game that I like more than CtP is CM 99/00 !

Love it. Well, actually, I love Cm3, haven't played 99/00, because (a) getting to know your squad takes ages, (b) once you have, it absorbs all of your free time. Because of (b), I feel reluctant to go through (a) again.
I'll do like imran and wait for 00/01.

I think that CM 99/00 is one of the very few games that are more interesting than CtP .

Just to resurrect an old topic...
I've been playing cm for about 2 years, and i finally got my hands on cm00/01 last week. Doing quite well in the Serie A with Atalanta right now. Second behind Juventus after 30 rounds.
I think cm is one of the few games that are right up there with civ.
