All budget games: Jagged Alliance2, Driver and Typing of the Dead (fun game, kill zombies whilst learning to fasttype )
Let's see Eastern Front 2 and CtP of course (I call that a non-civ game), but I managed to sell that one to another hapless victim (another lesson learned! )
Or did I buy CtP the year before that? Can't remember really...

The last games I received from a mate who plucked them off the Net are:
FIFA 2001
NBA Live 2001
World Championship Snooker
and I got a copy of Grand Prix 3 from another friend...
The only game I bought last year was Half-Life with Opposing Force...

You mean the boardgame? or the card game? Played the card game on several occasions, more interesting than Magic in some aspects like building up a powerstructure.

Hmm..I constantly play the following games I purchased this year
A.O.E.: The Conquerors Expansion
Rogue Spear Add on: Urban Ops
SWAT 3: Elite Edition
Dune 2000
But I'll be completely honest, I am a Die Hard Civ Fan and play CTP:2 constantly, modding as I go to experience different game styles.

Unreal, Star Wars Racer, Heroes of Might & Magic III (Shadow of Death), Everquest, Imperialism I; Dungeon Keeper, Panzer General I, Flying Heroes, Wall Street Trader, Age of Sail I, Redguard, Battlespire, Delta Force and Desciples (Sacred Lands).

I really can't remember most of them.
Unreal Tournament

The Nomad Soul
The Sims (later resold due to poor quality of gameplay)
SimCity 3000 (ditto)
Diablo (sucked, too cheap to resell)
A Ten-Game budget pack incuding Discworld 2
Championship Manager 00/01
And, of course, The game of the Year: Escape from Monkey Island

Sim City 3000
Unreal Gold
Test of Time
Eath 2150
OAoW 2
Independence War
Deus Ex
Myth II
No One Lives Forever
Descent Freespace 2
At least half of them were off Ebay, and 25% from Bargain Bin, so don't think I have money bursting out of my pockets.

It was a slow year for me as far as new games go, only two: Sim City 3000, which as others have noted was a disapointment, and Ceasar III which I thought was great fun.

Sid Meier's Civil War Collection.
Imperialism II.
Sid Meier's Gettysburg.
West Front.
A "Star Fleet" type game (for someone else)
None of the above function correctly.
Axis and Allies.
Total Annihilation.
Total Annihilation; Kingdoms.
Gangsters.
These do work.
Salutations,
Exile

Ugh, I buy far too many games. I must be the retailers dream customer because I don't seem to find anything that can hook me for more than a month. If it was a RPG, I bought it. If it was a TBS, I bought it. If it was a wargame, I probably bought it. Thank goodness I'm finally sick of RTS so I didn't buy even the new C&C or AoE titles. The memorable purchases:
Deus Ex (awesome)
Space Empires IV
System Shock II
Shogun
Age of Wonders
Planescape: Torment
Baldurs Gate II
Icewind Dale
Majesty
Panzer General 3D
Sudden Strike
Wizards & Warriors
Diablo II
HoMM 3
Might & Magic VIII
Everquest: Kunark
CtP2
Final Fantasy VIII
Then when I completed all of those or took all the buggy ones back to the stores I played more Civ 2 and downloaded some abandonware
