How do I get set up for "Simul" games?
Can anyone out there advise me how to get set up to play "simul" games with Civ2? I joined one today for the first time, but was not able to find any instructions or a patch or whatever to make this happen with my own Civ2 MPG setup.

Just add the line
"Simultaneous=1"
at the bottom of your CIV.INI file found in your windows dir.
When you start a new multiplayer game, at the bottom of the window where you choose the single/double production settings, you will find an extra option: "All humans move at the same time".
Better to make you CIV.INI file read only, or in next game you will have to start it all over again.

Unless you set the file Read-Only flag on, you have to rebuild its last line to "Simultaneous=1", each time you host a new simul game.

Let me try to shed some light here...
I think you click the civ.ini file once (so it highlights), then click Properties in the File menu and finally mark the Read only option.
Apologies if I point out the obvious (it wasn't to me).
