A Team,
Sounds like you are exploring a similar avenue in some of the game options with things like the no hut idea, and no wonders even if my reasons for them are somewhat differant than yours. Those are explained in this thread earlier.
I really think all the options are great to play, and I especially love a good wonder race , and all the stuff that "traditionally" comes along with this game. Have not explored 2x2 much and probably won't either.
The Pluel is just a type of game I am interested in for an option in playing.

The Equal map, 4 player Pluel scenario is ready for simu play.
Here is the general things in the game:
A Pluel is a 3 or more player game in the same spirit as a duel in that the civs do not co operate between themselves. It can be in any setting as a regular MP game, or bloodlust, SS race only, or whatever. But it is done as in a duel, which are not all bloodlust games either.
APOLLO ONLY PLUEL
Each civ in a Pluel is on their own!
FUNDEMOCRACY = no science penalty, Dem like trade added to trade squares, grassland, and a couple normally non trade specials like iron. Plains may not produce dem like trade but then a player might be more likely to transform it to grassland. 3 non
suport units. WLPD = extra trade
VOTED RULES:
No stealing, bribing, planting nuke device, poisoning water, trading stuff or info, sabotage (sabotage could start with espionage)
Trade routes only with own civ
SCENARIO RULES:
No huts, barbs/
No city capture techs/
No govt switching/
No nukes in game/
Embassies from start, no dips. SS travel slowed*
No sabotage = wonderlike city improvements for all!
This is not my idea of some "ultimate-everything else sucks kind of game" but is just an alternate style.
In playing these games so far there is some discussion on no sabotage being imbalanced making war too costly.
Now with 3 none supported units, and a stable "scenario guaranteed enhanced govt", and sabotage beggining with espionage, maybe this will be helped. Techs should still be at same rate, and trade benifits should be similar to democracy.
Anyone is welcome to check out either the map or the scenario. I can send it email or ICQ and would very much like some comments and suggestions on both but especially the map. It isn't a major scenario deal, but that was the environment chosen to use to reach the goals I was looking for.

We should be still on for our game wed at same time.
Maybe we could again try for tue eve too?
Hope everyones connection is working so we can get after it Discovered that mine was in need of improvement and maybe that will help too.
If we want simu moves the host Nappy could get with Markus? Seems like we all agreed to do this.
Brocher when is your last game? Then we can message Frankdog to be ready to fill in. Sorry to see you go.
Maybe try again after you return.

Hey Frank... that's what i do best... provide cannon fodder! Especially for the esteemed group U hae here firing th ecannons!
Why i'd even fall on my sword just to be crushed (so they think) by them.
I'll be avail if U want me... how about sending me a save so i can get familiar.
At your "service", Ken T / Miloette
(Milo's sister, the 1 that likes to get fire on by big bad Civ rulers) :P

Hi, I am back from the southlands... north for most of you I suspect.
I can't make tonight (Tuesday). I was planning for tomorrow (Wednesday). If KenThur is still interested, he can sub instead tonight. I can be available tomorrow if he doesnt want to continue, or not, if he wants to keep play. Either way is OK??

Glad to see you there Frankdog. Brocher has not had to leave yet anyway and is not sure exactly when he will. The game is schedualed for tomorrow at 6pm pacific time like you figured. So please be there in case Brocher is gone. It may be over soon anyway...

Sorry about that. I was at home cursing my PC all night. I am still available, whenever the phone company here fixes things... which should be soon.
(I am at work right now)

Sorry to here that!!
It did not go well for us either, as one player had connection troubles too. Each tried hosting but nothing worked.
Saturday morning hopefully we can make up for it.
I can be on at 6am pacific time or earlier if need be, and play till at least 10.
How bout you guys?

I wasn't meaning we needed to start at that time, just that I was available from that time on. No one has confirmed, but I will sign on then and see who is there.

We are soooo close to finishing this game. If we could find a time to re-group for 1-2 more sessions we could wrap this up. I am available Tues. 23rd 6:30pm PDT or next Sat am again.
