Simul host advantage
Last night, I was playing a simul game with Kengel and I was the host.
I could strike first, but he kicked my ass.
How he made it? Just because he moved most of his units after I finished my turn!! Grrrrrr..... >
Also, he made traps: when my units advanced, a unit of him was waiting, and attacked on the very same turn.
Well done!

Kengel has astutely identified one of the tactical changes that simult requires - timing of moves is critical in simult. Yet more evdience that the "host advantage" that some seem to fear so much is a bit of a myth.

Try fighting in close quarters then or trying to fend off a diplomat from the host. You're talking about just open field war where you have room to sit and wait.

Hi carnide, I didn't piss you off in our last game did I? hehehe I hope we can still be friends. Be my friend...please?
