I think Sean has about as much credibility as a player as a green tree frog. I'm absolutely certain he's not as pretty as the frog.

The game Chaos Warrior vs. EyesOfNight started a bit earlier than I thought... and he's not playing like the best in the world...

You never know what tricks eyes will pull out of his bag arii...
(even though the real fun part is listening to his excuses on why it isn't cheating or it doesn't really matter, or how he was bored, or how he did it only once.......)
I guess he is number one. The only question is, number one at what
While he may be the best player out there, it's really tough to take his claims seriously

Well, I can only say that after looking at his empire (after finishing the game of course ), I can at least halfway understand his success... no units in cities, etc... tried it myself, built only settlers in a 2x1x MP game with no human opponent, didn#t manage to get 50 cities by 500BC though

Well actually the whole saves/cheatomatic thing was about 3 years ago. And the rules.txt thing is ridiculously petty. The only reason you could give for it being cheating was that it worked to my strategy. Well I've come back with other people hosting at the normal riot factor and I'm even doing it on 1x1x. You're going to have to search alot harder than that. I've tried to write strategies on how I do what I do but you guys can't even comprehend it when I write it. This thread wasn't to try and get support from you apolytoners. This was to throw it in your face and stomp on every little bit of pride you ever had. You are no longer the best in your 1x1x setting. You never were. Obviously Carnide didn't find any evidence of cheating or he would have come out with it and since he hosted it was his rules.txt. So please do use Markus's strategy. You'll just make this whole process easier for me.

well if eyes, sean , argus, evil prophet, and all his other alliases was best , that now makes me the Greatest. I have officially beaten him inot submission, the settigns used were Deity Level ( he agreed to paly that level) 1x1x ;world size 50x80 ; continents; large land mass; (both of which suit his style of play) ,; 3 billion years ( to prevent a randomness to game squares), and temperate.. but the killer setting ws raging hordes !!!
... I actually prefer world size larger but allowed him to paly his size i prefer older world to get more randomness, and i prefer less land to get some navy activity...
But after losingf badly to him in first game 4 citys to none by 3500BC, I then changed strategy and went defenceive this saved all my citys agaisnt barb attack but poor old lord of darkness didnt and lost citys, his strategy of no defence failed and he resigne ...
Finally I Live upto my name "THe Great RAz" is back HEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEHEEHEEH

I can only say one thing: he does not need cheating to be successful with his strategy.. I just tried it myself, King, 2x1x, raging hordes, medium map, 1 AI enemy... 45 cities by BC 500, 75 by about AD 200.
it's possible to do. whether it's possible to do on Deity, that's another question. I'm sue it's not too much of a problem to expand the strategy to Deity level...
The land I played on was not the best, tell me in case you want the AD 200 savegame file

Nobody can duplicate my strategy because there's so much that goes into it. My strategy is not just mindlessly building cities. I have brough my game to perhaps perfection. The slightest mistake made will result in my win. You have absolutely no idea how I do what I do. Chaos Warrior demonstrated that very well when he tried to recreate my game. Guess it's a little bit deeper than you'd all like to think.

Well, by only building settlers I could easily get to a big amount of cities... Eyes was totally freaked by the low efficiency, though... the cities were indeed placed quite mindlessly, just that it really shouldn't matter when playing against the AI or a standard opponent... when playing against Eyes, you'll have to care a bit more for the details than I did there
I'll try and keep training though

Has anyone else noticed that when Sean is raving like this he sounds very much like one of the villains from a Batman movie?

Put him on a large world map 1x1x in a diplogame with Capo, Dimble, Drake, myself, and others. No we wont throw you out no matter what cute little (within the rules) tricks you pull. But I guranteee you lack the mental capacity to hang. Its a diffrent world. For the way you play, sure it might work, all the cutesy expand to 50 cities by 600 BC, brilliant, just doesnt work in a 7 player diplogame on the world map. To many considerations.
Stick to duels, we dont want the riff-raff in the diplogames.
