Gimme a break, if you please
I'm not that fat, more like lean !
(I know, it's bad poetry, but I've never been really good at that stuff, and it gets even worse in a foreign language)

Turn recieved.
Turn sent to Lord Zod.
By the way... I only recieved a combat report or 1 Unit Won, 0 Units Lost. I was attacked, but by who or how, I don't know. Did any of you Rover rush one of my units? Fungus Attack? I have asked Mose to let me know what it was (if possible). But since I wasn't NOTIFIED of WHO or able to see a combat replay... To the other newbies in PBEM... this could have serious implications in tactical considerations. Humm...

Turn Complete and sent to MariOne. I do not know if he will receive it in time. This is because I don't do time zones. It makes my head hurt.

Darkstar,
Contrary to my e-mail to you, I have confirmed your problem with combat reports. Sometimes you get a report, sometimes you do not. This sucks. &)$#^**(^^*
Anyway, if my attempt to catch MariOne b4 he leaves work is unsucessful, should we get someone else to play for FLO? Don't worry about the password...otherwise we lose the weekend.

Sir Jimmy of the StepChildren...
If MoSe can't play until Monday, then I say let's wait and let Flo take his own turn. I know that isn't what you want to here, but there are the other PBEMs that you have taken on to get your Pbem fix. I can wait.
But Aredhran is our other player. Does he care? He should be involved in a couple of more PBEMs himself.
Besides, three day weekend. Some people are going away. Let's not tie any more than we have to to their computers.
Mose is in Italy? What... 8 or 9 hours ahead of the east coast of the USA? BTW, Mose, what is your time adjustment from GMT?
And Lord Jimmy, Thanks for the confirmation on the bug. I was hoping I hadn't lost that many marbles at once. It takes so long to pick them back up again. And then you have to make sure you found them all...

Darn! I have to rewrite it all, thanks to a proxy/browser plot!
So, I took the turn for Flo this Morning.
My zone is CET (Central European Time) GMT +1, where most of europe is, while GMT is just London, Ireland & Portugal.
EST is GMT-5, so CET is EST +6.
Just add 6 hours and you get my time. BTW, you can check it all from Windows control panel, date&time.
I did some testing and it's all ok:
if YOU attacked worms in the previous turn, you get as well the battle report warning (you won x and lost y) but NOT the detailed messages in MFD.

You requested my opinion. I have 4 other PBEM games going on (not to mention single-player), so if you guys want to wait for Flo, that's fine with me.
And Erewhon is a "wait 5 minutes to load, click 3 times, save & send" for me anyway... Maybe I'll be more impatient in 20-30 game years.

It has been brought to my attention that I am missing. My friends and I are out looking for me as I speak.
As soon as I am located, I will get me to sit down and play the next turn.
If perchance I have accidentally attached myself to any e-mail that I may have sent someone here, please carefully dettach me and send me back. But, please do not zip me as it hurts.
You may feel free to fax me home however, as that acually feels good in a semisexual kinda way.
In the future I will be more careful to keep track of where I have put me. I will remind myself to be sorry for all of the inconvience that I have caused, as soon as I find myself.
Thank God I do not have a split personality, or else we might bump into each other while we were searching for ourselves.

Turn sent to Lord Zod.
I need to bow out. The sheer number of bugs in MP PBEM is driving me nuts. The last turn so totally trashed my system that I could not make use of COM, DCOM, ActiveX, DDE, and many other of the base Win98 services. That is sheer and pure Bull-**** idiotic I got my head stuck so far up my ass that I have to unzip my pants to talk because I am the God Almighty of programming. Firaxis can go jump up Hitler's eye sockets and **** themselves. I am tired of their piece of **** coding and then blaming it the OS. That is their stinking pile of refuses and I do not intend to help them spread it any further.
Mose, please start looking for another player to take my spot. I'll continue to inflict that great harm that is SMAC PBEM on the poor thing, but I have no intention to continue to do so for the next 4 months to 16 months that the PBEM game could take.
Thank you for the privalege, but as you can tell, the piss poor code level drives me nuts. SMAC should play nice, or at least not be the biggest piece of **** for PBEM. They have CtP beat hands down.

I'm really sorry you incurred in such a disaster, Darkstar.
I'm not the one to defend Firaxis for the bugs they spread out with their game, nor to blame the OS for any glitch.
I wonder if maybe you did left you rage and frustration ease down b4 you wrote the post, try to look again at the problem after a night of sleep, perhaps.
If you're the almighty god of programming (I only had few low-level very old experiences), and you'r still determined to play along after all, you may recognize that even if the OS is not to blame, you could possibly twitch its configuration to workaround or dodge the bugs an application is throwing in the system. (I know, it's very generic...).
(btw, who told me ActiveX sux, esp. in '98'?... ).
Anyway, sad to see you part, maybe we'll meet in IP (or here again when you find a way to tame those nasty hexapods).
I'll start looking for a replacement, meanwhile I'll be taking your turns, if necessary.
Please, FatCat, err... Swift Swiss, send PK's turn to me. We may be also think in leaving the faction to AI (again, if necessary).

- hmmm... Damien try to send next couple of turn to our good Brother as well... no second thoughts, Darkstar? sure? reallyreally sure???

Darkstar,
I hope you reconsider. Is there not some way that we can make our displeasure known to Firaxis? Something they can not ignore.
I will be more than glad to join in any effort to force them to respond to these problems.
We simply must not lose the Dark ONE!
