The United Nations Peacekeepers have landed successfully. Initial scouting looks good. Scouts dispatched to locate additional base locations.

Turn 1 complete. Turn 2 sent on to Provost Paul.

I still have not heard from Edgecrusher, do we need to have the CMN step in here?

He has also not yet replied to the email I sent yesterday, and five days seems a clear violation of the 48 hours rule.

turn has been received but there is a problem: i'm three hundred miles from my comp. i got hired to play bass on this project, and i'm hoping it'll only take a week or two. so in the interim, if a replacement player can be found for the time i'll be gone, it'd be much appreciated. sorry for the inconveinence, but getting paid $300 a day takes precidence over the game.

Paul, Kinjiru: do you want to postpone the game 'til Edgecrusher gets back, or should I look for a substitute player for the time?
I could play it myself if you all accept that solution ...

I am willing to either postpone or have you step in Zso. We are still in the very early stages so teh choices you make probably will not affect us too terribly much, but could disrupt Edge's plans. So, if Provost and Edge don't care, by all means step in.

If Kinjiru and EdgeCrusher are both ok with it then it's fine with me too. Just don't start complaining if zsozso ruins your game for you, Edge.

When you posted that you had sent 2106 I thought that you had found a way to play SMAC where you are, but I now see that you forwarded 2107 to zsozso. So I assume this means that zsozso is playing for you? Could you please confirm this so that I can send my next turn directly to zsozso?

I played 2107 instead of Edgecrusher and sent it on.
Paul, keep sending the turns to Edgecrusher, he will forward it to me if/when he can't play. He does have some way to play, but not always, because he is quite busy, so some turns will be played by him some forwarded to me.

There is a bug in some of the scenario files that I've created, including the one for this game: the bug causes the PK faction to start with tech cost 9 instead of 149 (ignoring the fact that 7 techs are already known). This is unbalancing and unfair for the other 2 factions. We need to verify if this problem has realy occured in this game.
If it is present, then we have 2 options:
1. Restart the game from scratch with corrected scenario file - this is easier for me but all the game so far is lost...
2. You send me the last save and then I create a file which mimics your current standing (units with their locations, whatever you popped from the pods etc.) with the bug corrected.
Kinjiru, please check your tech cost, and let me know what is the situation.
All players, please comment on which option would you prefer (full restart or copy of current standing).
Sorry about the bug, I should have checked the game more carefully before sending out...

Kinjiru's tech cost is 59 after 1 tech, which is still too low (others started with 149 +- SE %), but it is not as bad as 9. So, it is up to you 3 to decide: do you want to continue, restart or should I copy your current standing with tech cost fixed ?
