Keep on rockin in the free world.
I would like to challenge somebody to play against me as the Free Drones. I don't know if I'm the best Free Drones player out there, but I don't think that I've ever lost with them. To accept the challenge you must be one of the premere players of your faction. Also, there must be some reason why you think you can beat the Drones. Finally, you must be willing to start the game IP type. Then we can switch to PBEM later.
This thread is open to any discussion about the Free Drones or any of their potential competitors, as well as setting up a game against me and the Free Drones.

Well, I like the Pirates and the Conciousness. They both have a edge over the others. I only played the drones once, but I think that they have their points, but I like a research-driven game.

Easy 2 words: Cloning Vats. I use alot of formers, so I get lots of surplus. I use Pirates and Conciousness because they aren't as drone-prone as the University and Pirates and Cyborgs have good research rates.
How do you get your tech? Free Drones don't have great research.

Well, I get my tech by increasing my size mostly. Then I also steal and trade. If you think you are up to it let's play. Which faction will you choose? I must say that I generally do very well against the Pirates, and pretty good against the C.C.
Here is the settings that I would like to have. Tell me if you like them.
trandscendent level
large planet
any victory
look first
guided research
spoils
random events
average planet
NO H'minee! (booger)
That means that we will have to pick the factions. Are there any that you wish to play with. Maybe we can work that out in the launch window.
I don't know if I covered everything. Is there anything you want to add? I don't care if someone sets up the map or not, but if you do that is ok.
I have a cable modem, but that doesn't neccessarily mean I will be the best host. What do you think.
Finally, what time zone are you. I'm Pacific.

Adam-
If you are not too filled up with gamers I would love to do a game against you as the UoP. I at the very least am capable of going through T-I at no problems, I am not normally a Zack fan (this would be my first MP game as Zack) but it would be a really fun matchup with Zack vs Domai.
I really like the drones too but have not played single player in several months. I have 2 MP games going as the drones though..
I have a cable modem too . For a game as low tech as this a host is just a host, ram etc. does not really matter. Average/transcend/ directed seems good to me.

Enigma,
Sounds good. I think UoP is a decent faction.
my email is duncank@mediaone.net. My ICQ is 46852406.
I'm on spring break right now. I have a lot of work to do, but I can start one and play it for a couple of hours anytime (day or night)

Anybody else, Enigma can't play. Do you all concede victory to the Free Drones? How about you Tyrants and Floggers?

Tiger,
Do you agree to Spoils of War on? It seems that that option is very unpopular here.

No Spoils of War, remember that the CC get tech when they conquer bases! Thats why I love them so much! Ok, send me an e-mail and we can set a date and time.

Sorry Tiger, I had Spoils of War in mind. Honestly, I never knew that people usually play with Spoils of War off. I have always played with them on. That is one reason that I play the Drones so much. I may rethink my strategy, and pick a faction that plays better with Spoils of War off. It might be the CyC

just a comment on the spoils of war on/off, it seems that you play mostly low tech factions (drones/mirium) or tech steal factions (CC) adam, where as most of the people on here are builders/hybrids and rely on tech leads, so i think that people genraly dont like it on because they get the disadvantage
ill admit though, that if i play mirium of domai that id want spoils of war on since there not going to be stealing stuff from me anyway
