Welcome to the game everybody!
I like the faction setup (totally different from what I have seen so far), so let's all play fair, play fast, have fun and enjoy ourselves.
I am living in Europe, so I play usually my turns between 4 AM and 6 PM EST. I should be able to play at least two turn per day. It would be nice if we managed to get 1 turn / day going.
Turn sent to Edgecrusher.

Turn to the Provost. The last two days I've had a lot of trouble with Compuserve so bear with me. Hopefully it will be OK tonight.

Turn to CyC.
Just a reminder, since the question popped up: By the latest tournament rules, we are not supposed to communicate with each other before we have made contact in the game (by meeting or acquiring the comlink through other means).

Turn to Zak last night. I've had trouble with my internet connection (CompuServe), but I think it has been taken care of. I will send saves with the year included for now on as well. Sorry Zak/Joer.

Sorry folks, I had to retake my turn because I don't know how to properly zip a file. Duh. Any suggestions. I downloded the zip and I though I just had to change the extention .sav to .zip.

I got the same turn from WhiteElephants as last time.
Edgecrusher, do you want me to resend it?
Please, the last person who got the turn should make a post here, so we can identify where it's halted.

Well... Joer is gone till Tuesday, and if the game doesn't move, I'm gonna get in touch with Tau Ceti to end it. OK? Do we have a pulse doctor?

I'm baaaack!
Still no movement. Sigh.
Considering that I sent the move to edgecrusher twice and there hasn't been a reply, we could also opt for deleting his faction and moving on with three people.
Is there still any interest by the other folks to continue the game?

I'm still interested. On the other hand we could always have Tau Ceti line us up for another game. I like the idea of four players as opposed to three. Three players seems like it would tend to end up in a 2 vs. 1 sitution too easily.

Hey, there's always the AI.
So far, my experience with 4-player-MPs is a very bad one (I'm in 3 games that have all stalled), so I would prefer to continue this one with 3 people, rather than start another one with 4 that will stall again after 10 years.
However, the final decision is up to you folks. Do you want me to mail TC or not?

Scrathch that "folks" to "folk". Looks like I'm the only other interested party. (Why sign up for a game you don't intend to finish or at least play?) Well, my vote is that three (two?) players are better than one and we might as well move along. I'm going to sign up for another game though. I'm going to warn you now that I'll be gone five days in August which is the only forseeable problem I would have with taking a turn a day.

OK gang. I just email Tau Ceti and told him the scoop. I think Joer has the last turn played so I told him to post on this thread to let us know what's going on. I told him we wanted his faction to be turned over to the AI. I hope that's OK considering we haven't moved the game very far.
I imagine that edgecrusher realized that resistance to the underground hacker network Silicon Ice was futile. I'm suprised the rest of you haven't come to the same logical conclusion.

Given this latest turn of events, I will see what the players have to say... I always found it strange that edgecrusher seemd to be playing his other games, but not this one.

It lives!!! Hey man, the war is over, you can come out of the shelter now! From my understanding Joer sent you your turn a couple of times with no response and then ya don't show up in this thread at all... What are we supposed to think? We were worried sick! For all we knew ya coulda got hit by a bus (knock on wood).
Well, now that the band is back together do you think we could get this show on the road?

Sorry I should have probably sent you another email, edgecrusher.
Though it's always good to check the threads once in a while.
Anyways, good to see you back and active, I'd like to get this game moving again.
Resent last move to edgecrusher.

Ack, ignore that resend, edgecrusher. It was totally superfluous from my side.
I'll just wait for the next turn....
