2102 to Meister Flo.
I check my mail 3-4 times per day, so any slow-down will most likely not be my fault. I suppose that time-zone differences could cause more problems.
And Tau Ceti, you must be a mind-reader. I had not yet given any SMAC-X faction preferences because I only just got the game last week, but after reading the manual I was about to mention that the Cyborgs would be my favourites.

Heh. It does not take a mind reader. Since your preferred SMAC factions were the University, Morgan and the Peacekeepers, you seem to be a builder, and the Cyborgs are pretty good at that game (though they also do well as conquerors). Glad to see it worked out...
In general, if people do not specify any preferred faction, they will most often get factions like the University, the Peacekeepers and the Cyborgs, as few seem to be averse to those. On the other hand, I do not give anyone the Believers or the Cult of Planet unless they are specifically requested.
It is 9 hours between Paul and Grosjos, so I suspect more than 1 turn a day will be unrealistic at least. But I have tried to minimize the problem by setting you up in east-to-west order.

Hi all... I'm looking forward to this game a lot. I hope that we can keep it moving at a decent pace, I personally check turns about 4-6 times a day so I usually don't slow us down too much. Tuesday and Sunday nights I don't get to check from like 4pm-1am Pacific time. I do check during the day as well as evening.
I'll keep fairly much in character, in this case Peacekeepers.. so please don't get upset with _me_ for anything I say or do during the game.
Good luck all! Daniel--Tig

I usually get along better with the Eurpean players as I often check 3-4 times from work, and like once before work and twice after. Yesterday was an aberration as it was my anniversary.. only checked once.
Today I won't be able to check much either..but then it should return to normal.
Tig
(turn was sent on, but I just noticed I named it wrong, I sent it as AXT12 instead of AXT13--don't worry tho its the right file)

Turn has been passed on... I did have a reload on my turn, my lap top crashed the game as I was asking it to load the file..didn't even get to the password screen. I apologize but my work computer is a little dumb to be playing SmaX on and it crashes about 1/3rd of the turns I take from work..sorry again guys...(and gal). Tig

And 2103 is back to Paul. A note about trading techs etc. It seems when one side makes an offer and chooses accept before the other side has counter offered it seems to kick both parties back into a negotiating mode. Anyone else notice this? Or is my coffee adled brain making me mumble?

2104 to Knecht Wiener.
When one player clicks accept he accepts what has been proposed. If the second player changes that deal the accepting no longer counts.

Turn is back to Grosjo... The peacekeepers have encountered a bizarre form of native life.. it appears aggressive in nature and attacks by trying to turn the targets mind inside out. Fortunately, it appears the human mind is too disciplined to be much bothered by it and we expect there will be no consequences to sharing planet with these thing...

Tigtoad I sent you an e-mail regarding this as well.
As soon as I try to do something in this turn the game crashes and I get this message:
"Unable to allocate draw-buffer: Terminating program."
anybody know what this means? I asked Tigtoad to resend the file and hopefully it will work.

I received a file, but it wasn't the turn. It was only 10k in size, winzip hated whatever it was saying it wasn't a proper archive... and needless to say I don't have the turn.. could you resend it? Thx..Tig
