Do not worry, EternalSpark. It was not mentioned in the rules, so you have not done anything wrong as such. I do not consider it to be very serious either, but I do think it should be disallowed from now on, except in this game. And I agree that if you could view the replay in-game then it should certainly be allowed, but I do not think you can.
The Unity Wreckage is in SMACX, yeah, so that is not a valid argument for SMAC games. As for Unity Survey off, that is the standard option, and as long as there are no compelling reasons to change that (as in the Tournament map, which is open for everybody to see) I thought I would leave it off so players would have to explore. Part of the fun in my opinion, but people can disagree.

Thanks for clearing it up, Tau Ceti.
I propose that we all take the option up to once in this game. EternalSpark has seen it a few turns ago, so has a rough idea of what's going on, I have seen it last turn. So now the other two players can still take the option once, and then we won't use it again to get 'updates' of the changing situation.
Does that sound fair?
I'm surprised that nobody thought of the option before. I have no real problems either way, but since it wasn't explicitly forbidden, I didn't consider it a major problem.
Oh, and Unity survey was off in our game, TC.
It's probably time to dig out the PBEM question thread again, and request a few clarifications.

Turn 2116 sent to Gaians.
I think I will now try my turn at looking at the map and see what all the fuss is about.

This is not a turn send (just yet, I have more pressing concerns at this moment), but I would like to state I did it very early in the game, and I honestly don't know the current state, ok?

I will NOT be able to do a turn send today, I don't think, I'm going on a date with my girl (2 year anniversary!) and I doubt I'll be on, and if I am, I won't be able to go on my PC due to electricity storms.
I will try and do my turn really quickly, though. Prolly won't have enough time.
Sorry!

Turn to morgan
________
Year 2116 got off to an odd start. An energon storm caused electrical malfunction to occur while sending a data burste to the Morganic Empire. (AKA that storm I was talkin' about my save game crashed with a lightnin' bolt, I didn't cheat or anything)
The delightfully co-operative Sister Mirriam proposed a tech trade, and we gave them a bonus technology (classified) so that we may both prosper, instead of having to fight.
This tech exchange showed us that our tech trade with the PeaceKeeper faction is redundant for our side, so we have sent them a message asking for another tech. They are the tech leader of Planet, so it wouldn't be too hard for them to find something.
Also, remember that Alien Transmode virus which infected our bases for a small time? Well, we found a single robot still around, and have brought it under our control. how cool!

Turn to EternalSpark.
The last file had the same filename as the turn the year before (ACT025-Peacekeepers-2116), which is a bit confusing. I'd appreciate if turns are named consistently.

I tried to send the turn to Eternal Spark (regular mediaone address), but the mediaone postmaster bounced it back to me.
Error message:
Recipient:
Reason: Requested mail action aborted: exceeded storage allocation
I will try sending it again later. Any idea of what's up, Spark? Any alternate email address?

Yup, 2119 is the right one. I checked my archives. The last two moves where 2118 and then 2119. There is no 2120 yet.

Sorry for such a delay guys... I just finished finals and I'm taking everything a little slowly, now... this includes SMAC... don't worry I'll still play, I just... need to not play them as soon as I get a turn, for a little while.

Yup, turn received 15 hours after it was sent off (don't ask me why it took so long), sent to Hive 30 minutes after reception.

Turn off to EternalSpark.
Spark, are you no longer interested? In that case, we could try to find a replacement for you, rather than keep you dragging it on.

Another week without a move. Anybody still here? How are things with you, Spark?
If there is no sign of change from EternalSpark, and there is still interest in the game, I would prefer either handing the game to TC to play without Hive or finding a substitute for Spark.
I know that sounds drastic and stuff, but it is to me the better alternative to letting the game dry up. One week for one player and turn is simply too much for an active game.
