Well, the Aliens may not be posting here, but they're making short work of my former fleet
Lost a transport, an artifact and two formers to Usurper jets this turn. Three targets to choose from, and not one of them within range of my interceptor. Gnash.

Yes please! I'll help!
Took out a Usurper jet this turn, but I know I'm going to lose a load of stuff next turn. Trouble is, FM is so hard to move away from ...
In the meantime, the Pirates are pleased to announce the completion of the Hunter-Seeker.
2169 sent to Ced, who is quietly eradicating the Caretakers from the look of it

Turn sent to DinoDoc.
Yes, the war against the Caretakers are going well and itīs pretty much downhill from here. If you need help with the Usurpers I will be directing my attention to them as soon as I have finished of the Caretakers. If help is required in the meantime, just tell me and Iīll see what I can do.
BTW, Iīll be gone for a week to visit my family. I will not be able to play any turns during this time. Sorry for the delay.

Thatīs good news Dino.
Another Caretaker base fell this turn, and the Drone forces are poised to strike at the Caretaker HQ in a couple of turns. Hopefully that will truly break the Caretaker resistance and all that will be left is for me to mop up whatīs left. Too bad that they have built zillions (it feels like) of small size 1-2 cities. It makes the war pretty tedious...but easy
Turn sent to DinoDoc.

The Prime function would like to state emphatically that we have no hostile intent against the Free Drone society proper. We are only putting down a rebellion to our rule and would like to resume friendly relations after the rebels have been put down.

Bit of a shock, seeing a Drone base on the CyC island
Prime Function, I have taken out two of the three Usurper jets that were based in Hornbill, so only one will be returning home ... should make your job easier.
2173 sent to Ced.

Turn was sent last night.
BTW, could someone tell me if spoils of war is supposed to be on for this game or not?

I didn't receive the turn I'm afraid Dino. Can you resend to both misotu@hotmail.com and misotu@usa.com please? (posted and emailed)
And spoils of war is off for tourny games.

Turn received, thanks Dino. It's late here - I'll play it first thing tomorrow.
You got a tech because you're the CyC and they have the techsteal ability regardless of whether spoils of war is on or off for the game as a whole.

We would like to congratulate our the Prime Function on his effective handling of the Usurper base. We are most grateful.
The two Usurper units that landed on our island have now been despatched to their maker.
2174 sent to the Foreman.
(By the way, I'll be away for the weekend, so I don't expect to be able to play any more turns until Sunday/Monday. Apologies for the delay this will cause ...)

Turn sent to DinoDoc.
Thanks for sending the turn again Misotu. Somehow, I didnīt get it the first time.
The Usurpers have started attacking my formers on the southern tip of my home-continent. I guess this is what you guys have been experiencing the latest couple of turns. Pretty annoying. I got one of his Needlejets with my Interceptor, but his next target was out of my range...
Guess Iīll have to respond in kind, I canīt tolerate this kind of unprovoked aggression

Our simulations indicate that the Usurpers would not be doing half so well but for a revolutionary new breakthrough. Their needlejets have developed the capability of destroying enemy interceptors in flight - without air-to-air combat ability! Astonishing.
This has happened to me before on another SMAX tourny map. Hrrmmph, mutter, grumble.
2175 send to the Foreman.

Thatīs not good Misotu, I havenīt seen that bug before.
Thatīs an interesting proposal indeed, Prime Function. Though I will not be able to scramble much landforces in the near future. My Air-Force and Navy could use a little target practice however
Please share your simulations regarding this coordinated attack so I can go over them (i.e what are you planning on attacking and when ).
Turn has been sent.

Turn passed on to DinoDoc.
BTW, I have put myself up for election as Planetary Governor. I figured that Mis has had the position for so long that he must be bored with it
Anyway, the Caretaker HQ fell today after a minor struggle, and with only five small cities left, the end is near for the Caretaker reign of horror. Also, as a bonus, the Drones aquired the Empath Guild.
The Usurpers are beginning to pester me more and more with their Needlejet attacks and steps are being taken to dissuade them from these actions
