2137 turned. You'll get an error message. I'm sure I played & passed on this turn- maybe not.
Have you guys read the thread "Attention all PBEM players" (or something like that) on here, there is a new bug that affects out game.

2138 to Hobbes...
Hobbes, I can't locate the thread you referred to. Can you provide a link? Or describe the bug? Thanks!

The thread is headed: All PBEM'ers Please Read
The bug is that in this game, not all of us are playing on the same level. One of us is likely to be on transcend, the rest on librarian or some such variation.
I am on transcend in this game. The easiest way to check is via the SE screen, try & change & see how much it costs: 40 for transcend & 24 for thinker (I think?).
Tau Ceti has all the details if you can't find the appropriate thread.
Oh & turn turned! Much celebrating at Hobbit HQ following the successful completion of the HG Project. Carousing, feasting & much reggae music.

Well, according to the opening game entry we are playing at thinker level. When I tried to change SE it said 24 ec required, and I think librarian is less then that from a early SP game(8 ec). I really don't know though because I haven't played the different levels much at all. Also are MP and scenerio costs the same anyway?

2139 off to Hobbes.
I also am charged 24 credits for an SE change. BUMMER!
So, do we ask for a re-start? I hate to waste the time, but I can't see a way this is fair otherwise.

I suggest that since this is a tourney game that we restart. The quicker we decide, the quicker Tau Ceti can get us under way again.

2138 Off to the Commissioner.
I'm the same as the University. When I tried to change my SE, 24 credit charge.

If we are not all playing at the same level, then I concur with the restart. Bummer though! I was having a good game.

I have informed Tau Ceti of our desire for a restart in this game.

Ok, I've had some PC problems the last couple days, has this restarted? Am I still in? as I haven't received anything, and originally I received from Hobbes.
If I'm still in this one I'll need a resend please.
I'll e-mail Hobbes to get the skinny, sorry for the delay.

Well, I guess Hobbes doesn't receive the text of my e-mails for some reason, and all I got was attitude back, no info. I was hoping for some info on the restart...what level and confirmation were all on it before we waste another 3 months of turn play. Consider me out of this one.

Umm. I restarted it with all players, of course, and on the original difficulty level, Thinker. I have checked that it works this time. What exactly is the problem here? If you just have not received emails from Hobbes, that is probably not for game-related reasons? Why is it you want to drop out?

Hey guys this game is looking like a bust (nothing has happened in the last 3 days) and with Christmas coming up, I'm going to take a break. It has been a slice, too bad there was an error in the set up, but things like that happen. We may meet again in another game.
Merry Christmas eveyone!

Well, for everyones information I did have a major PC problem involving redoing all my software around the time of the level problem issue. I did manage to get my old 486 running to notify atleast someone in all my faster paced games of downtime from play. All of my other games(10), I'm now up to date on. I did lose all my Outlook Express in the problem and my mailbox was small, so for a while was not able to receive attachments. During this time Hobbes let me know about the proposed restart and I let him know of my problems, and that if the others wanted to get going right away that it was cool to start without me.
Anyway, I still don't have a file and Hobbes seems to not get the text of my e-mails(although no one else I mail to seems to have this problem), and I get a sarcistic attitude back. I just don't understand the attitude if he wants to get the game going, and don't really have the time to deal with it at the moment.
In my other games fellow smac players have all been real understanding.
