the *slight* delay was extended by US airways, losing all me luggage for 3 days. Anyways, turn sent to Tig now.

Still no response from Grosjos. Should we start looking for a replacement player?

It has certainly been long enough, but seeing as Tig is going out of town for two weeks any day now, this may not be a good time to bring in a replacement. Let us wait until a few days before Tig is back.

You're right. If Grosjos still hasn't responded in two weeks we should start looking for a replacement. In the meantime I did post in the replacement players thread for a replacement player in ACT006.

Hi there! I've offered to take over as the Gaians. I've emailed Tau for the password, and Tig to ask him to send me the turn when he gets back from his break.

Oh OK. Are we winning? I like being on the winning side for preference
Anyone care to fill me in on what's going on in this game? It seems like the Drones are at war with the PKs. Are there any alliances?
Sorry, haven't seen the game yet as Tig's still away ...

what a golden opportunity for some drone propaganda, heehee
situation: the Hive, despite squatting the jungle, is going under ! Grosjos caught a couple worms the last few years, so you definitely have the edge.
pacts: gaia-pk, gaia-drones, drones-cc, pirates-gaia
wars: pk-drones, believers-drones, everyone-hive
thats all i remember offhand. probably a few more on both lists
overall standing: cc, believers, drones in the lead
pirates, gaia doing ok, but schlepping behind a bit
thanks to their refusal to share some of the wealth the pks& hive shouldn't last another 25 years
one curiousity: 5 secret projects are completed by the human players , the WP is not amongst them.

Okay..the last turn I had from Gros was passed on to Misotu along with the PK state of affairs. Bottom line unless something drastic happens the Consciousness or the Drones are going to win. The real question now is if the Drones are going to be able to finish off the many people they've pissed off and get towards air power before the Consciousness tech lead is too great to overcome. I'm afraid we're in the position of spoiler, Mis. But I'm willing to provide any aide you desire to stop the Drones who are too ignorant to see how this game is going to go.
Tig
(Is this our fifth game together, Mis?)

Yes, five games. And my fourth game with Paul, too. You must be sick of the sight of me guys
Well, I've read this (thanks for filling me in) and played a turn. Grosjos played the Gaians in a very different style from the one I usually use, so it's definitely going to be an interesting one. And the SPs are ... well, unusual to say the least Give me a couple of turns to get with it, it's hard to get the feel of someone else's game right away ...
2159 sent to Paul.
PS I heard that it's customary to greet the appointment of a new leader with a little gift or two. You know, energy, techs, spanking new high-morale units, that sort of thing. Send them to Lady Mis the Hopeless Optimist, c/o Gaia's Landing ...

The great Peacekeeper empire has decided a planned economy makes more sense in the upcoming crisis. No other news to report.

I usually get up early (and go to bed early). But I posted that at 9.00 am, so I wouldn't say it's very early. Although, maybe it is early for a saturday.

Yeah ... I forgot that you're an hour different from UK time. I thought it was 8am on a weekend, which you have to admit which would be pretty early
Where's my turn BTW guys?
