MF:
Am unable to open or otherwise do anything with the attachment (It appears as continuous text in the e-mail itself)
If resending doesn't provide a useable .zip attachment, I'll see if big-canuk is amenable to my opening a folder in our shared xdrive for you to upload to when passing the turn to me.

MF:
was unable to open the resend either (I e-mailed you)
If the xdrive alternative doesn't work for you, then big_canuk has volunteered to be a drop box - he'll post for me on our common xdrive if you send the gamefile to him in .zip form

xdrive does indeed not open its doors for me.
I sent it to kckhnsn@mnsi.net. Hope it works this time, but i wouldn't consider it a permanent solution.

Strange, I got a load error with the description : Error reading file AXT-022-Neptunus-2102.sav
Googlie, could it be because of the xdrive stuff (I haven't tried to download it yet), or you just have to send it again ?
Sorry for the delay...

neptunus:
You are loading to smacx, right?
(that mesaage is usually asociated with trying to load to the wrong version)
I just loaded (I hit cancel, obviously) and it works - I'll zip a fresh version and resend. The players will prolly get a repeat play message from my (aborted) load.

Turn sent to Pirates...
Turn sent to UoP
Googlie you're absolutely right... As I play at ACT033 and ACT031 I loaded SMAC instead of SMAX (out of habit, unfortunately)...
And now an announcement ! Now it's my turn for a (quite short actually) period of vacations. I'll be online until Thursday night so hurry... From Friday until next Saturday I'll be away. I'll be online again from Sunday August 20. I hope this is not TOO inconvenient. But if this causes problems please let me know...

Not another one stuck... Robby Boy is usually a reliable player; is there a preoblem somewhere?

Sorry guys, this is entirely my own fault...
Just written "homecare" instead of "homecave" for Rob's e-mail. And the 2102 turn was supposed to reach him by the 9th of August !
Sorry for the delay...

2103 uploaded to CEO Googlie - Twice,
i think. Xdrive is not exactly informative ( can't open any folders, the available space does not change after uploads, yadda yadda)

I got the turn and passed it on a few days ago - This is just a quick note to say I will be going on holiday tomorrow and will be back september 4th. Hopefully when I return we can get this game moving.

Meister Flo:
Don't know if the other files are cluttering it or not, but AXT022 folder is empty.
I've created another xdrive just for our posts - I've e-mailed you details
G.

I'm off from August 31 for six weeks - but big_canuk is taking over my games - ones that are at 2140 or before he'll assume permanently, ones after that I'll retake.
His e-mail is kckhnsn@mnsi.net
Spo the next turn (after sept 4th) should be sent to him

Hi all:
I am CFO Big_Canuk, and I will be managing the Morganic Empire while CEO Googlie is away for six weeks on his "making a million, with nothing down on real estate" course.
We look forward to the expansion of our empire, after Sept 4.

On the road, again ...
2104 recieved from Meister Flo and set to Neptunus.
MF:
We need to compare notes on this text embedded instead of attachment business. I had the same thing happen to me sending to Googlie and to Simpson II. They both seem to be using internet email accounts, rather than ISP accounts. I am using Outlook97 to send mail.

Thanks for the promotion from CFO to CEO. I apprieciate the vote of confidence, but I am sure my boss won't be too happy when he gets back if he finds he has been replaced.

2105 sent to Neptunus of the Cyborgs
sorry about the slow turnaround. My isp was down on sun/mon/till 9:15 am tues. They lost 1200 modems due to flooding. Did anyone see the news on the Detroit/Windsor area. And I have been sick and lazy, and yesterday i decided to sleep, rather than play my turn (so sue me, we have good lawyers here at M.Ind. you know)
