Exactly what kind of game do you want? The most common one is PBEM, Play-by-Email. You can read many PBEM threads here. If you're looking for an ip game (basically, not for dial-ups), you might have tougher time finding opponents.

In CTP-1, PBEM and Hot Seat utilize similar program coding. It appears A/C has PBEM capability. Does it also have Hot Seat. If it does, I will buy the game. My family and I enjoy playing competitively against each other on our computer in these Civ type games. We waitied a long time for CTP-2 only to be 'trashed' by Activision's lack of interest/ability to include the Hot Seat option within the game.
Would appreciate your answer, good or bad.
