off to big_canuk
You'll get a replay message for me - I loaded three times - the first twice it said all my units had moved - third time I was able (I changed the order of trying to move them - I had 2 units stacked and both first times tried to move one of them) - I know I loaded correctly, password, etc.
Ever happened to anyone else?

I had a river move slightly on me. I read about this on a thread at ACOL. Googlie did not pop a siesmic pod. Tau, or Misotu, did either of you pop one? It would have been 2 or 3 turns ago.

No seismic pods here, but one river on my territory has changed course slightly in NU2. Hmm.
Googlie: I have heard of the problem before, but never experienced it.

2119 is off to Tau ... and another two-turn day. Great turn rate It needs to be. Absolutely NOTHING is happening in my neck of the woods. Oh yeah ... except a load of fungus. *That's* happening. But it's not exciting ...

(You'll get a replay message - was in the middle of the game, and thought - "Hmm - wanna talk to big_canuk, wonder if he's online". Fired up ICQ and utter freeze - no cursor, ctl/alt/del wouldn't work - had to reboot.
And still haven't chatted with him)

BTW, I am playing by the usual Apolyton tourny rules (ie no stockpile energy in the queue after units etc etc) but it just occurred to me that we haven't discussed this ... is everyone else doing the same, and is this how we want to continue? (I'm fine with anything, just want to make sure we're all on the same page )

We did discuss it in the initial setup discussion. Normal rules, but we decided we would use Stockpile in the queue. You guys start using it right away, an Googlie and I will stop for a few turns to even it out.

I am quite certain we never discussed this (at least I never discussed it ), but I will go with the majority opinion.
While we are discussing rules, I believe it was originally said that unless one side won both games, total AC score would win. I am not so sure that is a very good tiebreaker, as circumstances may vary greatly, and it might also lead to a tactical prolonging of the games. Could we find something else?

must have been a typo - total eradication?
we'll hold off on the stockpiling stuff - like b_c I was sure we aired it in the rules, but maybe it's Chiron Winter or the OK's I'm confusing these two with.

I just searched back through the emails, and couldn't find it. Googlie and I discussed it on ICQ. It was also discussed in the OKFist thread. I guess I just imagined we discussed it here. Sorry.

Yes ... that's what I thought. Tau *hates* putting stockpile in queues, so I was sure I'd have remembered it if he'd agreed ... I only just mentioned to him recently that it's allowed in the OktoberFist series. He took it quite well, actually. Considering
I know you guys wouldn't have done it intentionally, there's no problem there. That's the trouble when you're playing a load of games!
Can I propose then that the Canadians do not use Stockpile Energy until 2142 in Nato1 and 2138 in Nato2?
I appreciate that you may lose a little more energy than we lost in the first years (although possibly not, in fact, thinking of our unit production in one of the games). But arguably, having that extra energy early provides a bigger boost, plus you continue to reap the benefit of it - so I think it would even out overall. As much as these things ever can ...
Is that acceptable to the rest of you guys?
