MASTOR Challenge Turn Completion

Therefore the fickle finger of fate is pointed at Desert Twister/Believers. Unless I hear otherwise by tonight (Saturday May 8), 12mid PDT (GMT-7) I will do the Believers turn for 2131 and send the game to Magnus.
If it turns out that DT wants to withdraw from MASTOR, I can play Believers until a replacement can be found.

Apparently the file sent to Desert Twister was incorrect. Jim/Sparta has been notified that he has to find the right file.
If he can't find it, then he'll have to redo his turn.

Definitivly, I was too optimistic in my last post here...we are still over troubled water.
Xenoman already played his turn and send it to Jimme...So until further notice the turn is with the Spartans.
Jim, I sincerly hope to hear some news from you today.

Turn Completed
Sent to Flo. Flo has the flu. Get better Flo!
Hope I didn't muck it up!
BTW, I thought we were not supposed to communicate prior to contact. Was this previous player to blame?

I was just informed by Flo that I needed to resend the turn from the 22nd. I did. I will have more to say on this later, but now I must prepare for a meeting.

I have a suggestion: After each player receives a turn, please reply to sender to verify receipt. By doing this we will avoid the type of delay Flo and I have just had.
Just posting on the board is not working. The sender could now have the responsibility of verification and could post if necessary.
Your thoughts, fellow SMACERS?

i take full responsibility for this delay, because i did not check the Mastor turns thread on this forum. My awareness for playing Mastor is not highly evolved yet
Sorry about that. This game deserves to live !

Jimmytrick, I think that if the player announce to all, by e-mail and here, that he have send the turn, that should be enough...if everyone check this thread and his e-mail box daily, everything would run smoothly.
Anyway, txs for the input

Dear JimmyTrick, as Rasputinho said, you noitify the sender in a valid way both by posting or by sending him. More, I keep the habit, and suggest friends to do so, to notify by e-mail ALL the players of a challenge of a turn sent, with a NC (no content) message.
If you have a lazy player, do you think he'll bother to reply as receipt if he isn't going to play the turn straight away?
And what if he receives the message and simply doesn't check his mail?

Let me clarify. Flo by chance follows me in two games now. Erewhon and Mastor. On the 22nd I sent turns from both games to him within about 1 hr. In Erewhon we went on to turn 2 rounds on the 23rd, one on the 24th and also one the 25th. Then he realized that he had not checked the Mastor thread. Okay, he took full responsibility for it:
"i take full responsibility for this delay, because i did not check the Mastor turns thread on this forum. My awareness for playing Mastor is not highly evolved yet"
This could happen to any of us that are playing in multiple games. In my mind it is not a lazy player problem but a communication problem. My suggestion simply makes both players responsible for ensuring that game does not stall. If I had been equally responsible, I could have taken some action to nudge Flo and wake him up. Think about it. We should try to pick each other up. If anyone is offended by anything I say herein, please feel free to flame me by e-mail, okay.

Heck, I get 20-25 e-mails on a slow day....it would be darn easy to miss a turn. Sometimes I get busy and have to choose between playing a turn or checking the boards. Guess which I do? Okay, I will shut up now. The game lives!
Also, Flo had the flu, during this period!

I saw your point, Jimmytrick.
What I fail to get is, if you want to take as a sender the responsibility to nudge the recipient (which I definitely agree on, as long as it doesn't turn into harassing and jumping at each other's throat ), you can do it when time passes whithout seeing his "turn sent" message or posting.
To my obnubilated mind (3 hrs. of sleep...) it appears that an ACK receipt would be required only if the recipient doesn't (or can't) play his turn as soon as he reads the incoming message, in which case it would be just kind on his part, like Aredhran often does, to signal " I saw the message, but I can't play right now, I'll take the turn around hour xxxx".

The Believers "Brain" is out of town for a couple days (till Monday night). Please carbon copy turns, diplo etc. to the CMN, who hopefully takes over.

Magnus.........Turn is with the Believers...Since Flo is out of Town, Tfs99 has it to play and send it to you.
I'm talking about the 3rd turn, not the 2nd that was played while you were away.
