Can someone please resend the turn? The one sent before was the wrong one. I promise you'll get it back in a timely fashion.

*Another* name change ??? You know, keeping up with your changing identity is harder than playing the game Dino I mean ... er ... oh never mind. Anyway, that explains why I couldn't reply to your private message the other day, "user unknown" or something.
Don't worry about the turn, Ced is still away. I'm in another game with him and that one is waiting for his return too.

Dino emailed me to say the turn would arrive last night, but unfortunately I didn't get it. I've emailed him to let him know ...
Edited to add: So far, I've played only one turn on this game this month. Much as I enjoy SMAX, I really don't want to see the second anniversary on this game

OK, Dino is having trouble opening the latest turn sent by Ced. Maybe a resend would be best?

Welcome to Paul, who has very kindly agreed to take over the game from Dino. Thanks Paul! Ced has sent the game so once Paul has the password from Tau we're away.

Yes, welcome Paul and thanks for picking up the game!
Apparentely my login account was erased by the server problems here at Apolyton a while back. So IŽve been demoted to warlord again, since I didnŽt get all my post-counts back when it was restored
Anyway I guess IŽll just have to be diligent in posting my "turn-sent" messages and I will be back at Prince status in no time
Game on!
Ced.

*double sob* Well, Dino's SMAX CD is bust, and he has resigned from the game. I'd like to finish the game - after a year of play I'm reluctant to abandon it now!!!
Have emailed Ced to get his views.

Congratulations gals and guys! Cooperative World Conquest Achieved!
I was actually pretty stunned when I killed of the last remaining Alien base and it said that the game was over. I had forgotten that Cooperative Victory was enabled. IŽm not sure if this is the way I had envisioned it to end, I thought that Mis would probably win it by transcend.
Weird thing was that after the game had displayed the credits, it popped up a save game window with a Drone turn MY2199. I clicked the OK button and then the game just quit, so it didnŽt save.
Hmmm, well what happens now? I have never actually finished a Tourny game Are we supposed to report this to Tau Ceti?
Anyway, thanks guys for a really fun game. It was an unusual game for me as I usually never conduct any drawn out wars in my single player games. In this game it feels like IŽve hardly had any peace, fighting the Aliens all the time.
Thanks again and hopefully weŽll meet in some other games. IŽll check this thread in the next few days for some "after action" talk

Ok, I guess I jumped the gun on the coop victory
So the turn has been played again and sent to Paul. BTW, happy new Century on Planet!
MY2200 sent.

2200 to Mis. Who may very well transcend before the weekend if we can keep this turnaround speed, making this my shortest PBEM game ever.

I'd forgotten all about the co-op victory problem with the early games ... 2200 back to Ced.
Edited to add: Transcend is on the cards for the near future, certainly. I've rarely had a game move as fast as this one has done recently! The last one was the one where Paul and I got waxed by Pagan I think (shudder)

2198 to Mis. Yes, I like those fast turnarounds. That way I at least remember what I was planning to do when I get the next turn.
