Well, to be honest I'd like one of the builder factions - University, CyC, even the Angels if pushed - whoever really. Just not the Hive. Or the Believers. Please.

I am surprised you managed to probe Superconductor - I thought I had covered all my angles probe-wise....

"Had" being the operative word Proletarian Knot "had" a probe, but that stopped being the case at some point in '64 when a Nautilus probe became interested in the city You might remember that particular unit, since it was the same one which took out a probe of yours snooping around my bases earlier in the game, and which since then was promoted to elite

.....if we do go for a random map game, it might be a good idea to start with a couple of extra pods, just to get things moving a bit quicker.

Great idea Does the following sound about right?
Difficulty level Transcend, all planetary parameters average, rules as defined in Tau Ceti's Apolyton 2000 PBEM Tournament thread except double starting units for all players (including AI).
Players:
Mark13 -> University of Planet
Misotu -> Peacekeeping Forces
Oniron -> Nautilus Pirates
4th player and 3 AIs -> Any other human factions

Hmmm, strange, because I saw a damaged probe in that city, so I presumed it had survived....oh well, you can't always trust what you see
That setup does indeed sound good though - I look forward to it....

Fine by me, if Tau doesn't mind taking the extra time to add in the units.
Will you approach Tau Oniron, since you've got the spec now?

Oh, I have been reading the thread. Do you have anyone in mind for the fourth player?
Adding extra units takes no time at all. It introduces the faction graphics bug, of course, but making the game a scenario actually significantly reduces my workload as I do not need to playtest the first 10-20 turns to see if the positions are reasonable.

You're confusing Proletarian Knot and Free Drone Central.

Ah, bummer. I knew I should have double probe-defended that base
In response to Tau - no, anyone you have waiting for a game is fine, I'm not fussed....
