Oops ...
I was only kidding ... you can't pop a tech higher than level 2 from a pod!
Just trying to cheer myself up in anticipation of missing the VW

Ah sorry, I just wanted to make you do a double-take and then laugh at my foolish fantasy. I guess my post was a bit too convincing ...
Otherwise, all was quiet. Only sound to be heard was the mindworms rustling their way through the fungus to my bases

Not a problem Mis - I guess it just didn't click when it really should have done. I hadn't considered it beyond the realms of possibility that you were that far up the tech tree, anyway....
Anyway - fingers crossed on the Vee-Dubya

We will be issuing a very serious law suit if you make it ... the Misotu VW (c) is very precious to us
Aargh. Every time I upgrade a garrison, the pesky worm turns tail and heads for the next base with a very green scout in it 2131 is sent.

Terraformer crews sit around the fires and sing songs of joy as Misotu engineers complete the WP Five bob says you can't guess my strategy
*Five* crawlers??? 2135 is sent, together with my prayers for a crawler-bashing mindworm plague in Markite territory

Aaargh. I think I got my years confused - had to reboot my PC, and then had trouble saving the game
A turn was sent to Mark, hopefully called 2136. But I can't see it on my system Think I'll have another reboot ...

Sorry about the delay - lots of calls from the family today, so this turn has been waiting to go off to you for a couple of hours ... 2137 is finally off to Mark.

At this stage in the game, the power chart is pretty much meaningless. Since I play second, I'm going to be hailed as leader in every measure where we are equal if Tau's observations are correct (and I suspect they are. It's certainly true on pop). I think we are pretty much neck-and-neck in fact ...
One of my formers has perished That worm will DIE
Well, just as soon as I can get my little unity rover over there it will. Which might take some time ...

Managed to sneak an extra turn in before going out for dinner (ever noticed how long it takes men to "shower"? I reckon it's all that primping in front of the mirror. Combing nasal/aural hair, rearranging the bald bits, that kind of thing )
Showing my age here. But 2140 is off to Mark.

Heh
Back on Chiron, street parties were held as Misotu engineers completed the HGP. An example was made of the lab technician heard to mutter "I'd have preferred the VW myself"
