Great idea, DiDad - I, for one, am interested. My turnaround time is generally pretty quick, although there may be times when it stagnates slightly. In any case, I check my mail twice a day, every day.
Preferred faction choice: PKs if transcend, UoP if thinker.
Current rating: dunno, somewhere near the top though.

Invitation to Join: Ratings War
All my rated games have stalled out, which is frustrating. So I propose a fast-paced 4-player game for currently rated players with the goal of getting some ladder data to Solver. (my own score has not yet budged from 21.0000, for example).
Conditions:
No CMN --I start game in 2101 as Gaians and pass it along. Each player sets their own password.
Map: Ultimate Builder for faster development and balanced start sites.
Settings: Thinker or Transcend, All victories, unity survey on to speed exploration (map is known anyway), look first on, spoils of war off (could be persuaded to add it to speed up the game), ironman off in case of crashes.
Player settings: Most liberal choices will be used in order to accelate development. Unlimited use of stockpile energy, SE switching and design workshop. Contact permitted from beginning. (First contact is very late on Ultimate Builder Map, which is a modified Huge Map of Planet).
Please state faction choice, current rating, and typical turn turn-around time.

In fact, I am. If we play SMAX, though. If Tanscend, I'll be Aki-Zeta, if not, I'll be my favorite Provost Prokhor Zakharov, and I'd prefer Thinker then. Will this be a game suited for Builders or Momentum?

I don't play SMAX multiplayer because the disk belongs to my son (it was a b'day present!)
So this is SMAC. Solver, are you interested in taking University at Thinker?
The Ultimate Builder Map is designed for builders and late attackers. There will be 3 AI factions for the momentum players to bash on.
Rynn, if you want to make some ratings mileage, I suggest taking Hive instead of Morgan. On the other hand, commerce points add to your AC score, so Morgan might be so bad.
If Solver is on board, we only need one more player.

Yes, I will play, even though forgot what SMAC is. Why not copy the disk from your son? OK, not my business.
Yes, I will play Univ on Thinker, with pleasure.

OK, I'll take the PKs, seeing as I'm being muscled off the UoP

Well, normally I'd love to join in, but my favourite the UoP is already taken. Unless of course it's possible in the original SMAC to let two different players play the same faction.

Rynn and I have metamorphosed -(too much trouble with these new boards in jumping between characters, so Rynn will now only exist in CGN
And I'll take the Hive - in my other PBEM Morgan games I find they rarely last long enough to get the full Morgan infrastructure up and energy parks built that he needs for a decent score.

Hmm, no UoP? Taking into account that is the only original faction I still kept playing after SMAX came out, this is a difficult choice. I've got no idea how to play those SMAC guys properly... Well, I'll take the Spartans. May I ask though to have mercy on my soul. I have only played one Spartan game in my entire life (conquest victory MY 2192 )
Solver, start hoping we don't meet early.
What faction is DiDad playing btw?

If I meet you...
No, seriously, huge maps aren't really fit for momentum players.
I just choose the Spartans because the others suck even more as builder factions.
Believers, nuff said. Gaians: I used to play them a lot, but they don't have FM. Then of course there is Morgan, but with his hab limit and his inability for planned this is a real difficult faction. I played about 10 games with this guy, but that was before I discovered the merits of free market and Velocyrix' strategy guide. So as I said, really little experience with this guy, contrary to those wonderful University guys...

Well, with Spartan Industry a builder stance is tough, you need some good mineral crawling then.

Yeah, I perfectly know that, but I haven't got another choice
You have to admit, you and mark13 have a large benefit over Googlie, DiDad and me, just because you happened to reply earlier to this thread. Hopefully that can be countered by having some great pact mates.

Btw, who's gonna set up the game? And when?
I am in favour of Cooperative Victory and Spoils of War (just in case ).

Let's see if I can sort this out.
Gaians = me as starter
Hive = Googlie (AKA Rynn)
Uni = Solver
Morgan = AI
Spartans = SM@ni@c
Believers = AI
PK's = mark13
Now remember, there is no CMN. You will have to set your own passwords and you are responsible for sending the move on to the next guy.
