The turn arrived in my mailbox just before I had to go to work, so I haven't played it yet. I will play it in about 6 to 7 hours.

Good game (even though I stink as the PK's)

Well, it looks like this one's in the books. So, who won? Paul, Buster, or Paul and Buster?
Good game everybody. My best one so far.

Buster and I won a cooperative victory. As you already may have expected, in the year 2253 University Base finished the Ascent to Transcendance, taking University citizens and the Morganite allies to a higher plain of existance.

Congratulations to both Paul and Buster.
We seemed to be a pretty fast-playing group. So ....up for a rematch? Hive and Uni, Drones and Cyborgs? With a tweaked AI maybe?

I am in for a rematch.
For fairness sake I think we should eliminate the pop boom impaired factions (Hive and Cyborgs) unless someone specifically wants them.
My prefs for a transcend game - in order mentioned are:
Drones, PK, Uni, Gaia, Sparta - as long as I get one of those I am fine.

I would like a rematch. Preferred factions in order: UoP, PK, Morgan, Cyborgs.

Sure, I'd be willing.
My faction preferences in no particular order are Drones, Uni, Gaians, PKs.

So as Paul was the Uni last game, he should be the PKs. Drones are Buster's first choice, so he should be Domai. WE had no preference order, so can be the Uni. (was Gaians before, and Drones and PKs are gone)
What to play? For something completely different, I think I'll be the Pirates.
Huge map, 50-70% water, average everything, directed research, spoils on, tweaked AI (have Tau start them with 3 bases built and 3 forest tiles on each? - crawler on each too, maybe?), random events off, full pod scattering with full contents. Anything I've missed? Transcend level.
Sounds like a good game?

I'm leaning toward spoils of war off, but I can work with whatever. Other than that I'm OK with what you've got laid out.

Game sounds fine
- the subject of spoils I will leave it to the rest of you. Guess Paul can have final say on that one.

I don't really like spoils, so I would prefer to have it off. Other than that, I like Googlie's suggestions.

Spoils off then, and I'll e-mail TC and ask him to set it up as an AXT series game

Ahoy there, Mateys
TC has agreed to set it up for us, but won't get to it till late next week - I said that was OK, as a good game is worth waiting for.
Also exchanged some notes on how we toughen up the AI in the scenarios we create so that they can give a more robust challenge at least in the first 100 years.
Eagerly anticipating navigating the oceans of Chiron .....
