Overheard in a meeting of the Pirates Ministers...

Voice1: The truth is, the Pirates have always been a sea based faction, it's what we specialize in.

Voice2: Have you seriously looked at a map of Planet? Planet doesn't have oceans, it has a giant lake! How successful can a faction be whose operations are totally surrounded by land?

Voice1: What you say is true, but what can we do about it, we can't change the geography of Planet, can we?

Voice2: Perhaps we should take a page from Lady Deidre's teachings. If Planet is dominated by land then we must bend and use what Planet has given. We too shall make use of the land.

Voice1: But we are not prepared for land based operations, and what of the other fac...

Voice2: (interrupting) Sven, you worry too much! Even now, we are preparing, and what indication have we from the other factions that we will not be welcomed, our sea patrols have located vast tracts of land that have no colonies at all. They are just waiting for our use.

Voice1: But...

At this point footsteps are heard down the hall, must be security! Quickly the stranger runs out of the office area, back to the port, and to a waiting foil.

I was sorry to see that John could not continue but I understand that a new player has joined in the game as the pirates. Welcome Hobbes !!-- You will find that there is little ocean on this map but on the upside you have a large area all to yourself up north. Good luck !!
