"Contrary to propaganda being spouted by the Gaians and their supporters, the Pirates, did provocate undeclared hostilities and forced war upon the Drones and its people."

"The Gaians government at 2201 demanded the Drones declared war on the Hive, a faction with whom they already are engaged in war. Naturally, having a treaty with the Hive, Foreman at once refused as we have had peaceful relations with the Hive since planetfall."

"The Gaians, rebuffed by the Drones, immediately demanded the transfer of certain technology. The Drone people will not and cannot accept such demands and the State department emphatically refused their overbearing demands. Upon being rebuffed to join their war and allow access to certain technology, the Gaians declared war and "Vendetta" upon the peaceful Drone people. Upon approaching our homeland, we defended our lands with full force of our military. Upon entering battle to protect our homeland, the Pirates without warning and provocation, immediately declared war on our people."

"We have received information through secure intelligence channels, confirming the Pirates declared war upon the Drones after the Gaians call "Vendetta" upon our people through their mutual defense pact."

"The Drone people, can and will protect itself. However, in the interest of trying to preserve peace, Foreman sent word via the standard communication channels to the Pirates. The Pirates ignored or choose not to respond to the message."

A high ranking senior offical of the Pirate Dipomatic Corps was seen entering the Hive's Embassy building earlier today at Safe Haven, while an unconfirmed rumor from a low-level administration member has Captain Northswordsman disappointed with the progress and tone of the talks with Foreman Radman of the Free Drones. Pirate Public Relations office officals have called the visit "routine", and declined comment upon the rumor. Stay tuned to N3 for further updates on this story.

"Unnamed State Department officials have indicated 'the Drone military remains on high alert pending the outcome of current discussions.'"

Officials state: "We continue to received information through diplomacy channels. However, the real intent of those discussions remain to be seen. We are hopeful however."

Meanwhile, in a prime time speech, Foreman addressed the citizens of the country to assure them that appropriate defensive measures were being undertaken to maintain the common good and defense of the country. Foreman also categorically refused to pay any repariations for defensively stopping the infiltration of Pirates units within the country.

"Defense officials indicate they are continue to review the situation very carefully. Unnamed State Department officials state 'the Drone military remains on high alert and in a defensive posture pending the outcome of current discussions.'"

A reporter notes: "sources inside the State Department have inferred that discussions are continuing through diplomatic channels and top officials are preparing another round of discussion with the Pirates to end hostilities. We are hopeful these next discussions are fruitful."

A senior Pirate administration offical confirmed for the first time that high level talks are indeed underway between the Hive and the Pirates. Speculation is rampant as to what will happen as a result of these talks. Further updates as they become available.
