Thank the Lord Dermott doesn't like the bed. Otherwise it would be on the mattress and there'd be even less sleep.

ROTFLMAO!
I know you can't hear it, but as soon as I read that, a celestial rim shot echoed from the heavens! Beautiful....

Mmmmmm. At least I can lift the pea out from under the mattress and give it the flick. And sleep soundly. Unlike some who can't quite do the same to their Curtain Clingers at 2am. Let's see how many glorious celestial rim shots you're hearing in about 9 months, Sneak.

I plan on buying a dog so that the barking drowns out the cries of the child. Besides, if it can be heard over my snoring, it deserves to be cuddled.

I'm out tonight.

Hey Horse - I had a meeting today with some people about a 13-part political satire for the ABC leading up to the election. I might need to call on some of your anecdotes.

Indeed.. and wimpy AH goes to bed after we waited for him for 30 mins

New player Saturn suddenly disappears...

And wimpy Raz bails out after an hours play...

Chris bails, but he had a shocker start and he's American anyway........

And that left me and Hydey, the reliable ones.

Map was too big for us to continue so thanks everone, that was a really great nights entertainment!

That was indeed a fine evening of multiplaying, some of the best sooking I have ever seen on kingchat, "barbs from huts, barbs from huts" or "crappy small island, crappy small island".

I thought we had all played this game before and got barbs from huts or started on small islands. I know I have stop sooking and play for F**k sake.

Perhaps we need to set up a map giving all players the perfect start and make it full of rivers and specials, make every hut contain a wandering nomad, oh yeah thats right , single player cheat mode, never used it myself but I guess it gives you a good head start.

well i actuqally think it is rather boring playing civ when all you can do is wonder around your little island for 1000 years . I was doing all i could to progress towards MAP MAKING , but with little resources this is very slow tech growth!!!!! so to prevent me going mad i post in kings chat, if you dont like whinging in king chat then yes please make all starts equal...If I wanted absolute quite i wouldnt play MP, i could play SP , my major reason for palying MP is not the challenge, (I never win except agaisnt EYES) it is for the interaction I love that...

After coming online at 9 pm and logging off at 11 pm i call that 2 hours deity not 1 !!, the fact it took you guys one hour to sort out a start wasnt my problem. if you want longer playing start earlier.... I made it very clear i had to goto bed as i had early start this morning , I even gave plenty of notice in king chat before i left, and continued playing with a severely hampered civ, even though i was going early as i know you guys like that...

Despite all that i did have a good time, so dont worry i will be back to whine and moan more next tiem !!!!!

Sorry I didn't show up last night guys but my sister had a baby and I had to go and see it. A nice big 9.8 pound boy!

I dragged the father off for port and cigars.....serveral toasts later I'd forgotten all about my civ2 commitment. Hope I didn't miss too much. I got home around 12:40am and noone was on ICQ.

I'll be up for a game tonight if anyone's willing...Come get some!

Hmmm, looks like I made the right decision to go to bed after my icq started playing up and I missed a couple of starts due to bodgy behaviour from my computer. I was literally nodding off in front of my monitor anyway.

Hope it works out better tonight. Might be a good idea to have a shift captain who decides what is played, loads a game and if you don't like it you can leave. Could save a lot of time.
