A second warrior for defence purposes seems a waste of energy. Unless you're desperate.

Is this that desert city?Probably not enough food in the box to build a settler yet.Probably not many sheilds yet so warrior is the fastest.Build another warrior and send em out exploring.

I generally start a Settler 'til I get BW then switch to Phalanx; usually completed in a couple of turns. Explore w/warrior 'til unhappiness is about to occur.

Or build a Horseman and go exploring/goody hut hunting.

I should have said-send 1st warrior out exploring,build another.If this is that desert city with normal production then a settler will most likely disband city(not a bad plan actually ) and he probaly isn't producing many sheilds at size 1.Unless he has access to oil or something.Not enough is known.I wonder if this is city #1
