Finished... expect review friday.
Wow... I actually finished a "call to power" game... never did that with the first one...
What's next? Oh I think I'll play with the scenario editing options...

I should also mention that CtP2 managed to crash about once every 10-30 turns once I got past the year 1700.

Great Darth!! Looking forward to your review!
Btw, send the crash files and an explanation of what you were doing to mrogre so that he can fix this!

Well it was more of a lock-up than a crash... the program really didn't have the liberty to "crash"
Where are those crash files?

Search your ctp directory, somewhere in ctp_program\ctp (if they kept the same directory structure that ctp1 had)
do I have to tell you everything?

Well the game has crashed on my several times and I couldn't find any crash files. And I do remember they existed in CTP1.

I guess crash files are only generated when the game crashes.
Maybe there are no crash files for lock-up crashes.
Heck I dont know, I havent programmed this!

My crashes weren't lock-ups. They sent me to the desktop. Perhaps this is because I have Windows ME? Can anyone say they have seen the crash files?

I am in the year 2078 and so far i have not had one
crash and the game has run perfectly....
I think if you are having a crash every 30 mins then you had better get rid of that crapy computer and buy another.
The game is well worth buying its the best stratergy game on the planet and i have tried them all....
everything about the game is better and i can not fault it in any way.
I would say the reason people like Daftveda have problems is because they dont know how to setup there computers properly and they have no idea how to go about doing so.

You sir... nevermind your not worth my effort
The computer I am playing this on is an Acer that is about 2 years old now... Yes it does have its problems but not frequent lock-ups outside Call to Power.
The other computer (a 650MHz overclocked athlon with 384MB of RAM) that I built, should run the game just fine. The point of the matter is that this game crashes on this computer... it shouldn't crash on ANY computer... at least not with this frequency.
In addition to building computers in my leisure, I am also a Computer Science major in college, so as you can see I have quite a unique perspective on computing. Do you get me?

create a file called "logs" in (Call To Power 2\ctp2_program\ctp\logs). In Call To Power 2\ctp2_program\ctp open userprofile.txt and make sure enablelogs=yes. If you have a crash the log files will be in the logs folder.

I built this p3 733 MHZ, 256mb RAM, GEForce 2 Gts, 20 gig IBM HD, and put it all in this SuperMicro 750a Fulltower i had for 2 years collecting dust (see i got it to overclock that sweet lil' ol 300a celeron back when they were hotter than pancakes..never got around to it tho) hehe i forgot my mobo...i built it 4 months ago..and it was state of the art latest Intel chipset hehe. Getting that Flip Chip s370 on that mother board was hell tho!! I had to pry it down with a friggin screwdriver for chrisakes.
Anyway...I digress...I built my own pc too...and Call to Power runs just HANDSOMELY...WOOT!! :P
