Uhm, you don't fix that in a patch
You add it to a game before it's released

Heh.. but I want to jump into my machine gunner in first person and use my mouse to run around and blow everything up like in Quake....

I was just kidding Apollon.

Actually Activision is cutting in it own flesh when they make different release times for patches and the game itself. Why should one buy the german version? So that I have to wait a month longer for the patch. No, Thank you not!

If the patch is not comming for the UK version (which by the way aint here either) at the same time as the US, I'll download the US version and use that (but buy the UK version whenever it comes - if it comes, just to be a good boy).

Is anyone else bothered by how much clicking you have to do with the messages? Example: during my turn I click on the message tab. I click on the message so that I can see all that it's saying. I then close the box (or use the eye). Then I have to right click the message to get rid of it. Then on to the next message! It's a pain in the proverial... ah, neck.

Can we also please have a 'turn to next pop'. It really shouldn't have been left out. We should be able to have this as a column in our national management screen also.

Yes! I am extremely annoyed with this

I seem to recall that CtP1 just had msgs pop up to the left of the screen as little buttons. One could L-click to view a message, and then R-click to delete. Much better systems. Beats me why they decided that needed to be changed

More of a change than a bug. In the Rankings section I notice there is no Pollution ranking. It'd be useful to know who the biggest polluting nation is. Or am I missing something obvious?

Hmmm. All valid suggestions (well, most of them are!) but I can't help feeling that Activision should do the following:

1. Release an interim fix IMMEDIATELY to resolve the one major problem which is spoiling a lot of people's games - the saved game corruption problem;

2. Release the planned patch with network enhancements etc in due course, as soon as it's ready.

Does anyone agree - particularly as they seem to have isolated the cause of the save game bug?

Let me ask you this then: How many people make a point of deleting all the messages once they've read them? To begin with, I was because I wanted to be sure that I wasn't missing any. But that was such a hassle with all the clicking that I figured maybe that wasn't the idea. After trying to play the game leaving the messages in the box, I've decided it's a disaster and I'm deleting them all again depite the fact that it's a pain.

And what's with having to press 'o' before the end of each turn to make sure you've got no units left to move? By the time I do this and the message thing before I press end turn, it's taking ages! Surely there's a better way to do this...

Yeah the thing with the messages is extremly annoying. 1.) The zoom button just centers the map but doesnt select the object
2.) Having to move all the way up to close the message which was opened.

Why not just either show all the content of the message in one line (wont work for all messages though, but for the most important it would), or do a leftclick opens, leftclick closes feature. So that you open the message with a left click and another left click closes it. Then you at least have not to move the mouse up to the message.
If you could combine this with the one line messages then this would be perfect!

But please DO SOMETHING ABOUT THIS!!!

Besides this would have been one of the things that you MUST have seen when playing the game! Or is there an easy trick around?
How do Activisionians handle the messages?

Improved AI will not be a part of the patch...

Everyone hope that MedMod2 will correct these issues - and I believe that it will. After comparing a MedMod CTP1 and the default CTP2, MedMod CTP1 is still better.

CTP2 is better than the default CTP1 though.

I hope the whole 'Scenario Editor' issue will be addressed. At this point, all I can do is place settlers on a map. Placing cities causes a whole host of goofy things to happen. (maybe I am missing something here?) At least give us instructions how to do the basics...

And please address the 'Wonder Movie' bug which leaves the movie screen up after the movie is done. I can't get rid of it!

Do you really think this is a bug? I like watching the cool/crap movies, and reading the effect later

Yeah, that's quite annoying too. I keep trying to change the wrong build queue, even though I've done it time and time again. There's just no reason why it shouldn't center as far as I can see.
