Patch might be a problem
I remember reinstalling my game from "with patch" to "without patch" and I couldn't use my saves until I downloaded the patch, which cleared everything up. If either everybody does or does not have the patch, it should be ok. If somebody does, it'll save the game as a "with patch" game and then the people without the patch won't be able to use it. That's a theory, at least. Does this fix it?

Very Sound theory Octavius! I have the patch. Of course I assumed everyone else did, too. That could be the reason!

To Anyone getting ready to play the Succession Game:

INSTALL THE PATCH.

There. I hope that does it.

SEAN, if you're reading this, go ahead with the first 20 turns and send it to me. Maybe we can get the game rolling again.

Most definately the case. The patch fixed a save game bug, and that modified the file format. The patched version should be able to read unpatched saves, but the unpatched version should not be able to read patched saves.

So a "Modification" of files was the culprit?..the "Patch" being the modification, well....I can I finally say I contributed something useful?

Good luck to all!
