The 3 numbers beside gold

Can anyone please explain what those 3 numbers are in the status box just to the right of how much gold you have? (at the start of the game it says 4.0.6)

I've played Civ2 for a while and never cared too much about them but they must be there for a reason.

Those are the tax/luxury/science percentages.
