Vet:
It is just that I have a lot of ideas in my head, that I haven't written yet, since I fear if I start that there would be things that I couldn't figure out right away, and that would mean I would spend a lot of my time thinking about that, in stead of working on the econ model, which I would like to pretty much complete, before I start working on this one.
Obviously you are more than welcome to code the SI model. It would be quite interesting to see how thing would behave. But I think that in the final version pretty much everything will have to be changed (not the overall look of the model, of cause, but lots of minor details). And therefore I believe your time would be better spent on the UI and other game things. Of cause, it's completely up to you, I'm just thinking about the welfare of GGS.

Yes, there should be some ideologies in the game, too. But I think it could simplify things if it was incorporated into the class system. And it should include more things, such as public welfare level, military spendings, and the influence levels of each class. So the working class and the intelligentsia could be pretty left wing-ish, depending on the era, and the capitalists would be right wing.
Then the happyness levels of each class would depend on how far your civ is from the class ideology, how much power the class has and the general welfare of the class.
