If anyone can tell me..in real clear directions..the path to find where you change Map Parameters..and also..what you can change Map to..say the Biggest..I know it is something like 200 X 400..but I have an Athlon 700 256 RAM with a 32 Bit Graphics Card..GeForce 256..so I can process a bit of information OK
Any All Help would be Greatly Appreciated
Thanks

C:\Program Files\Activision\Call To Power 2\ctp2_data\default\gamedata
file is const.txt
Look for this
#
# These map size settings must all be defined,
# and in this order
#
MAP_SIZE_SMALL 26 52 2
MAP_SIZE_MEDIUM 48 96 2
MAP_SIZE_LARGE 64 128 2
MAP_SIZE_GIGANTIC 180 360 2
The only one I edited was Gigantic. In a current game, I was researching Tank Warfare before I met my first civ......It can make for long games. I have already passed 2300 and am just now in a full scale war with the Nicaraguans, and just met my second civ, the spaniards.

You should also change the size settings in the map.txt file (placed in the same folder as const.txt) so the values in these 2 files corresponds.
You might also read my tread in the CtP-Creation - "The oversized map and Wes' mod".

I thought it was discovered one couldn't make a map larger than about 210 by 210 or the AI doesn't act properly?

Hi Harlan
I have played several games with Wes' med mod 2, 3 and 4 on maps 192*384 with 20-28 civs (maxcivs 32, allowing revolutions).
And the AI did very well know what to do.
But if you played on those oversized maps with only the default number of civs and/or the "default" patches and mods (up to and including Apolyton pack) - then I don't think it would work. There would be much too much free land between the civs and the AI "engine" was to weak.
I did write a little about my games in Wes' tread on CTP-Creation back in the spring and summertime.
