the effects of threatening - Where to manipulate?
Hi all.
I already searched, but couldn't find anything about it...
I am looking for a possibility to change the effects of threatening other empires.

I demand something (e.g. their map), they refuse and then I threaten to declare war. Ok, I recieve the map, but it's really silly to declare war on a friend or ally only to recieve their map...

But the point is, there was NO loss of regard... And this last point I want to change. There MUST be always a negative effect!!
Now i'm looking for the file to manipulate this effect, but can't find it...

Any suggestions? Thx a lot!!

Best Greetingx !!

I think what you are looking for is found here:

\Activision\Call To Power 2\ctp2_data\default\aidata

open the file called "diplomacy"

Azmel,

The AI Slic documentation for Strategy and Diplomacy is inadequate. I couldn't figure out the parameters to lots of functions mentioned in it.

You should add a slic event that triggers when a threat is made. That slic event can then call LogRegardEvent to decrease regard (see the AI Slic documentation). Although regard is not currently lost, you'll notice a substantial drop in trust when threats are made. If you are not trusted, then threats no longer have any force.

Hope this helps,
