Early Naval actions
Someone on one of the general posts put me on the trail to this. I had been complaining that coracles couldn't fight - in fact, nobody afloat fights for thousands of years (until the fire triremes come out). But what really bit was the fact that I couldn't take control of a sea and keep another city from launching, or sink one of his ships when I had 5-1 odds.

The Bradley games book even admits that the coracle should have a 10 point attack factor.

Anyway, heres the fix - go into unit.txt and look up UNIT_CATAMARAN . Thats where its hidden.

Change its attack factor from 0 to 10.

Also, make sure you pick up three lines that refer to its ability to pillage and such. Look down a bit, and where you see...

NoZoc
CantCaptureCity

...make it...

NoZoc
CanExpel
CanPillage
CanPirate
CantCaptureCity

Now you can actually have naval actions early in the game, rather than it being a lake of passivity, like it is now.
