BMP to CTP2 Converter question
Does anyone know how the BMP2CTP2 Converter works? The included readme is a bit scanty.

Somewhere in the forums is a Topic called Crashcourse in bmp2ctp2, but I'm not sure where I saw it. It helped explain a lot of things that the readme didn't but should have done.

Actually, I don't know how to convert the BMP-file to a CTP2-map. And what's the scale? Every dot or pixel a square on the map?

If you use the execution command of bmptoctp2.exe -1 image.bmp image.txt then it's a direct conversion of one pixel to one square. If you leave out the -1 then it's every 2nd pixel vertical equals one pixel. I basically use a 210x210 bmp to create my 210x210 maps. Is that the answer you were looking for?

Yes, thank you. I'll now actually make some maps with this tool.
By the way, how is work progressing on your World Map, OmniGod? I'm looking forward to playing on it .

It's going well, just have to collect a good oceanography image around 10800x5400 and add that to the topographic and landcover info. Have you read the thread on my preview, if you are going to use the convertor a little imput in any changes, if any can be made would probably improve the maps you make. I know it would improve mine. Hope to finish it in the first week of March after finals are over. Good luck on the maps Flo
