Stupid question...
I've never played with more than 8 civs b/c I was creeping along with 64mb RAM. But my oh my...RAM has gotten cheap lately and I've stocked up. Up to 320 now and I'd like to try 15 or 20 civs. How do I set the game up so I start with that many civs? Is it in userprofile.txt? I know it's been discussed before but I can't think of a good search phrase that would hone in on the appropriate posting. Thanks.

Try '8 Civs' or 'more than 8 civs'. Both work equally well. The only problem is you have to do a new search for each CtP2 form or else do every forum.

Thanks Paul. So that will override the # of civs option selected when a new game is started, I suppose? I'll give it a try. Thanks.

changing the userprofile.txt stes the game up to start with 32 civs. If you try to change the number of civs in the game it goes back to max of 8 civs. That means that even if you have the max at 32 civs in userprofile.txt you cant put that down to 21 civs in the game you have to edit userprofiles.txt again.
