Capitalism 2?
I just read at the adrenaline vault that they expect a capitalism 2 in August this year. They didn't had any preview though and neither did I find anything at the ubisoft site.(also searched gamespot)

Does anyone know more about this?

Not a lot of details in that preview. Seeing the screenshots I must say it looks surprisengly different. It seems city based now but I'm not sure that's a good thing.

I hope they didn't cut on business features and worked on the AI though, the original Capitalism is one of the few games I've played lately.

I hope that Trevor Chan is still involved. I'm not sure how good a remake of Capitalism would be without him.

He was one of the developers, wasn't he? Otherwise check the credits in the game

Yeah, you're right, but not even the UbiSoft site has info on it, so I guess we'll have to wait . But indeed, the screenshots make it look like SimCity...just hope the interface has improved, the old one I wasn't too satisfied about...

Yeah the game engine was suited in the starting fase, when you had a small corp, but once you had a corp of any size it soon became too unwieldy to handle.
Hiring a manager wasn't ideal either (I only trusted them with department stores) especially not when they quit and you had to redelegate all the firms when you got a new one.

Trevor Chan?

Well, in Cap/Cap+ he was the originator of the game concept, the designer, and the programmer. He did not do the graphics and documentation himself, but apart from that it was pretty much his game.

It's not at all clear that another design team could do the game justice, take a look at CtP if you are not sure what I mean.

Would anyone be interested to try a MP game of capitalism during the summer? I'd like to play against something with some intelligence for a change.

Population oddities
I've noticed it was a bit odd how each city has populations either in the 900000s, 1200000s, 1500000s, or 1800000s. Anyone else notice it?

Hint: If you've only got Capitalism, get Capitalism Plus because its better.
