2109 to Chairman Googlie.
Remember that we all must report our AC score next year (2110). The big winner will be the Spartans, of course, with their vast tech lead obtained through devious trading!

Massive pod popping can help as well. Ah, how I love that Spartan scout rover!
Glad this game is back on the road!

It's 2110! Gaian AC score is reported on F9 screen as 18, although it looks like it's giving me credit for more pop than I actually have.
Looks like the Spartans have 22 --early datapod pops plus a nutrient bonus for first pop growth of the game!

Hi all,
It sees that, due to a change in circumstance, I'm going to have to leave town for quite a while, maybe as long as a month. To that end, I'm going to appoint a replacement.
Sorry to mess you all about like this.

This was supposed to a fast game among some top-rated players! Nine moves in eight weeks is terrible for a 5-person game! What is going on?
Mark13, your replacement should be someone who is involved in Solver's rating scheme and can do turns rapidly.
Googlie: if I discuss a turn here, it means it has been sent.

Sorry:
I was abroad (UK) from 10th until 25th and while I took my laptop with me, modem incompatibilities prevented me from getting internet access until my final evening at Heathrow.
I think AOL dropped off some messages as my mailbox was overflowing, so I emailed or posted re most of my games to see if my turn was outstanding.
So 2 of the 8 weeks with nothing were my fault.
Apologies again
G.

DiDad, you're not going to tell all the information out of my datalinks to potential enemies, right? Let's keep it a secret I'm building impact rovers in my four bases to crush all opposition.

Turn sent. My score stayed 22. I hope that will be enough to keep a good spot in the ladder. Because in the Chiron Winter II game I think I've lost my first place to the Gaians. So I'll certainly drop out of the second place in the ladder.

It's Thinker, on Solver's request, I think.
I don't know about the cheats. I'Il just use all of them unless if anybody objects. Unless right-click dropping, the demon boil bug, and reverse engineering a rover from a probe team. I firmly object against those.
Btw, does any of you ever use pod booming? That seems a great waste of minerals to me.

I suggest we follow standard ACOL rules, which are similar to Apolyton but stockpile energy, SE switching, and crawler upgrades are allowed.
Busting colony pods inside bases is indeed a big waste. When you found a new base, you get the bonus income from the base square plus 10 minerals back.

2112 to Solver
As we started out as a non-scenarioed, non-CMN'd PBEM, although we are allowed contact from the start the, game doesn't recognize this, hence shows no data re pacts or treaties.
We would know the status in a game if we had made contact, so I'll kick off (in response to an e-mail query)
I am pacted with the Gaians, PKs and Spartans, and treatied with the University
Others?

I am currently pacted with the Gaians and Hive, and now I know you are pacted with the PKs, I think I will follow your example and sign a pact with him as well. With Solver I only have a treaty.

Peacekeeper Times:
Unconfirmed sources report, that the benevolent Peacekeeper diplomats have secured or are about to secure trade pacts with all other factions on this brave new world. While Spartan relations are currently only treaty, intercepted radio messages indicate that a pact will be realized next year. Vice-brother Big_Canuk has been heard applauding the respect all have shown for the UN charter, and the intent of this mission.

Turn sent this morning
Official Press Communiqué:
As Main Strategist of the Spartan Federation, I am allowed to confirm the coming pact with the United Nations Representatives on this new world. I can even tell our ambassadors are discussing further cooperation with another faction. More information on that subject will be released later.
