"i just was lying back on da roof of de rover n' lookin' at all de fungus n' thinking about all de creepy things dat could be lurking in there and me gots to wishing i wuz somewhere else,i'm not sure i musta dozed off and goodness me, the next thing i know ive woken up in ....somewhere else.
---Abu's description of how he discovered the alien psi-gate near Earthquake ridge - and teleported over 2000 kilometres to the other side of the continent after discounting the possiblity that smoking da fungus root had finally baked his noodle.
Other notable events of 2139 - The Gaian's have announced their intention to build the Human Genome Project.
2140 to Spasmofit
You'll get a warning that I've played this turn more than once - explorer crashed before i opened smac (i had a dozen or so windows open) and i couldn't see any option buttons. The first time i opened it i didn't even make past the password entry, the second time i made it all the way through the turn only to find i hadn't saved the file (must have clicked cancel instead of save). I feel kinda guilty about this one 'cause the first time i popped that pod i unleashed mindworms...sorry folks
PS. Another rated turn coming up !

Turn 2140 to JPJ
Sorry for the reload - I forgot to check my score so before I saved I pressed esc a number of times and it ended up not saving at, hence the reload.
My score is 76

2141 to Hive
The Gaians have declared war on the Peacekeepers after being asked to withdraw from Peacekeeper territory.Diplomatic attempts at resoloution of this misunderstanding are being ignored by Lady Deirdre. We hope to resolve this impass soon without resorting to military action.

Turn 2141 to JPJ
I hope you can find a way to peace, JPJ. I've told the Gaians that I consider both of you as friends.

Hey all:
Two things.
First, i sent turn 2142 onto SITS, but it looks like u guys went on without me (as you should). Sorry, this has happened twice. This time was neglence on my part. My apologies for holding up the game.
Second, next week I will be leaving for an extended work-related trip. Extended, as in 3 weeks. There is no realistic way for me to be able to play the turns. Please advise on how I should look for a replacement, or what procedure i should follow.
Once again, my apologies.

Turn 2142 to JPJ
Radagst - Not sure what you mean about us carrying on without you. I've received the last two turns from you - noone else.
I suggest as you trip is quite long that you find a replacement. Maybe Tau Ceti as the moderator might step in for you so I would contact him first....

After repeated attempts to reason with Deirdre for the withdrawl of military units from our land and said units closing in on the northern settlements, we decided to launch a pre-emptive strike. Operation Lawnmower went ahead on 210.2143, The Flowers Preach was overrun with heavy Gaian casualties.

Turn 2143 to JPJ
Hmm, concerned about the activities on my border. Hopefully a peaceful (and profitable) settlement can be reached.

Two IMPORTANT things:
1. Please resend the turn Spasmofit: I have not received 2144 yet, and you posted two days ago.
2. A replacement provost has been located to take my place during my own upcoming sabbatical. I think you will find his experimental and theoretical skills, ahem, "adequate." I will provide more details shortly as soon as his full consent has been received.

ok, this is my last communique for a while. I have forwarded spamofit's turn (2144) onto my replacement, whose name is Hobbes. I have communicated his email to Spasmofit as well (i don't know if Hobbes wants his email made generally public; i'll leave that decision to him, since i don't know).
Good luck all. I hope all goes smoothly. Will miss all of ya's. Well, considering where i'm goin, maybe not tooo much.
