Just picked up my mail on my office email. Same problem as for the first turn, gobldigook in the email, no attachment. I can't access my home email at the moment. So unless SITS resends to my work address I won't be able to get the turn off until I get home tonight.
Sorry

			ColDark:
Could you please send the turn to my alternate email address: deimos_00@usa.net ? My other provider has been offline for quite some time, and I have not been able to access the turn.

Thanks!

Posted and mailed to both email addresses.

Update: According to rumor, CGN is going to be down for a couple of weeks, so please make the above email address change a permanent one.

MY 2107 sent to the University.
Solver- This will be my first rated game to reach 2110. How do you want us to handle the scores? Are we going to forward them in the turn e-mails or post them here? If you want us to send the scores in the e-mails, since I am the last turn of the year, do you want me to post the scores to your ratings thread or just forward them to you by e-mail and let you take care of it?

 Thanks.

			Have a problem here.
Received turn from Solver. Unfortunatly Solver has only one base which isn't defended and I have a Mindworm thingy two fungus squares away. This means death to Solver (Sorry!)

Now this is where the problem starts. When I enter into the base it tells me that I've captured Solver and he has been eradicated. I then torture him (again sorry!) then I get tortured (Hmmm!) and then it looks like I retire and end of game for me.
That is what happened with the first two loads (Sovler's death would be same in any reload as his base isn't defended) - I then get promted to sign in at my login - I do and it takes me back to the menu screen of the whole game. On the third reload I killed Solver again (again sorry!), tortured him (I really don't enjoy it, honest, it's only a job) and I get tortured (Ouch!). I then retire etc and I'm offered again to save it. This time I save it under a different name, go back to the menu and reload it and I'm offered the chance to sign in, which I did. Solver is off the Comm's menu. I then can continue to play my turn. I finish it and save it and send it on to ColDark.

So hopefully the game will continue for all of us (well, except Solver, Sorry!)

			MY2107 to Qantaga
---------

Well, it looks like the Gaian's are the bully's on the block
Since I have never eliminated an opponent in MP, I'm not sure exactly what happed. But I have read in other threads that there is some kind of bug in the game that forces the game to an end when someone is eliminated. Usually, I believe, that the person who is just about to get eliminated retires after disbanding all their remaining bases, or something to that effect.

I'm going to email Misotu and ask her to comment on what happend here. She should be able to answer the questions as to what happened.

Yes, this is a known problem. If do or die is turned on, the game ends if a human player is eliminated.
I believe that the usual solution is this:

The conqueror basically posts a notification on the thread and using the in-game commlink when they are in a position to destroy another player's last base.

The player who is about to be eliminated then destroys their own last base. If necessary, they are given the time to build a scout to accomplish this, but they may not take any other actions within the game. (They may not, for example, trade tech or give their energy away once they are notionally "dead").

Using the "retire" option is not a good solution. Almost all the other human players have problems in the following turn, due to a bug. So destroying your own last base is, to my knowledge, the cleanest fix for this bug.

 Hope this helps!

Misotu - Thanks for the info. I seemed to have found a different way of doing it without retiring or helping the other player commit suicide.
Hey - I'm a nice Green Goddess, really! It was just that Provost Solver was a little to close and the opportunity too risk free to ignore.

Turn peacefully sent to the ColDark.

			Turn reciept acknowledged.
SITS, surely there must have been a way to negotiate. We must learn to live in harmony. I trust that when we meet, we will be able to behave in a civilized manner.

The MY 2108 Baton is now passed to Deimois of the Morganites, I hope my messengers find him in good health.

Well yes. Your "solution" is also known. But I was just pointing out the elegant approach, which avoids much frustration and multiple reloads |

MY 2109 turn Baton sent to the Gaians.
CEO Deimos,
I'm glad to hear that your capitalistic minions are extracting every last penny of profit from our newfound Planet. The next time your messenger passes the turn Baton our way, you could always send a few extra energy credits along with him. I'm sure a handful of credits would never be missed among your vast storehouses and we Cyborgs are not above accepting charity. |

			Turn 2109 to ColDark
Peacekeepers - Whilst it is important to live in harmony it is also vital by doing the most good to do the least harm. An early resolution to expansion problems now helps to minimilise damage later.

			MY 2019 Turn to Deimos.
 Bulletin:

As you know we don't like to interfere with the internal politics of others, but we feel that we should be able to talk about getting on together before we resort to the sword.

May we all now live long and prosper together.

There is certainly a lot of talk about conquest, territory, expansion and swords being thrown about on our new world. The Cybernetic advisors are seriously considering a strict isolationist policy until we feel more secure about the safety of our people and the true intentions of our fellow faction leaders.
-----

Issue brought to the attention of Brother ColDark of the Peacekeeping Forces - Perhaps it is time for the UN to pass a resolution to begin the formation of social programs to siphon off the obscene profits of the Morganite Industries and spread them more equitably among the less fortunate people of Chiron. |
