Alien Crossfire: Bizarre Corrupt Colors?

I just got the planetary pack today, and for some reason all of the text in the game is practically unreadable. Additionally, on both the mini-map and main map the city colors are all virtually the same shade of blue, so I can barely tell the owners apart.

Anyone seen this? I'm playing on 2k professional, happens under both 8 bit and 32 bit color, latest drivers, etc., etc.
